Yea but I don't think duhwalt has a crimper... but hey gotta keep up with the joneses!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkVery true. Effing Jones' cost me money

A Hawg with those efficient hole saws seems like a fantastic combo. Selffeeds are such battery pigs comparatively.

Lol I wouldn't say that @Milwaukee_man_stan, plus when things get brought up again we have more to talk about. Not quite enough tool releases to keep this place hopping all the time

Pictures of that have been around a long time. At this point it's for adding brains to no-key press tools I believe. Probably similar potential to the unexplained yellow knock off that was revealed this week.

Makita has a huge pile of great stuff. Tends to be pricy around me for their best stuff and batteries. Milwaukee makes up 2/3 of my stuff, long warranty and lots of trade specific tools. Dewalt makes up the other 1/3 of my gear, great tools and much more woodworker/general oriented than red.
@JimboS1ice FlexVolt is an additional platform but like @BMack37 mentioned, the M12/M18 dual voltage charger was my gateway drug into M12 so I won't pretend Milwaukee is much better in that regard lol.

They do have a hole hawg kit with 9.0s. Keyed chuck is my preference if you intend to do anything at all with it other than hole saws and augers.

Super hawg has kick back protection in it, how much can the hawg do that a 2704 can't?
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkIf I was to guess I would say practically nothing. It's 1200rpm single speed is likely in between the 2704s two gears torque-wise with an emphasis on spinning 7/8" augers or thereabouts.

Doesn't Bosch make a grinder with an LED read out?
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkNo clue, certainly possible, but I question the use of it if so.

As far as I know the two speed gearbox seems to be the only reason the Super is so much bigger to begin with. Someone on this board mentioned a HD9.0 really wakes the single speed Hole Hawg up, I think you'll be fine with the little one. Big one is too damn long to store nicely imo but it's nice to have kickback protection.

The one key tools ping off of people who have the app. It's being/been updated to work regardless of whether they have the app running. If everyone had OK it would be an amazing net. Currently I'd say this guy is the exception and lucky he got his tools back.

A display sounds incredibly fragile. Torque for impacts is it. From my understanding it's nearly impossible. Rock solid tool tracking is about it for me and I've yet to be convinced of its effectiveness in practice.

I hear ya, one key has some cool stuff but not for me, I think the best part of one key is the remote crimping and the logging associated with it
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkAbsolutely agree Jimbo.

Of course, but Ridgid is blazing the trail, so they deserve some credit. It's not like Dewalt is the only brand hurting for cool new stuff which should already be out lol
-
"Even ridgid" in some of those instances should say "only ridgid" @Framer joe, the big brands haven't wowed anyone with a belt sander or router etc. yet.

The new 6.0 and 9.0 have the 3-bar so I doubt we will see 4-bar anytime soon. The 887, 791, 796, 991 and 996 are all so new it's tough for me to believe the new tool connect units will roid out compared to those. Fingers crossed though lol.

We'll see. Cool new housings don't mean much. The compacts already have enough power to hurt you thanks to no side handle. The DCF887 is pretty new. A 992/997 could be believable if they are trying to leapfrog Makita, Milwaukee, Metabo, etc. I'd definitely be interested in that.

Only thing you hear about v18 these days is people complaining about how awful they were.

what is the 18/20 mistake?
Burning people by releasing an adapter years and years after the new range has been out so instead of keeping existing customers in the fold you give them reasons to shop everyone and leave your ecosystem.

DCD991 is the non-hammer premium brushless drill.

Will be nice to see a comparison between one key tools and tool connect tools.
appears as though a Bluetooth 6.0 is in the works. I wonder if the heavy duty drill has more power than the hammerdrill? It looks massive and the metal housing behind the chuck looks like it could withstand an explosion.
DCF887, DCD791, DCD796 and DCD996 are getting the Bluetooth treatment apparently.
personally not interested but progress is progress. As long as this doesn't take away from new FlexVolt I don't care lol

No doubt the most common question - which brand?
in Power Tools

I hear ya @JimboS1ice, I'm somehow in M12, M18, 20v Max and FlexVolt. I intended to be M18 only at first. Now I see the 18v Bosch Core batteries and think "199 CAD for a battery... my pimpcube pb360c could use one", yet I know that would lead to a bulldog and a brute etc haha.
