  1. There up high in the store but your standing. You set them lower at home because your setting.About eye level middle of screen is right for me.I always thought that was why there higher in the store because you are standing?Best Buy around here sets them up that way in the store.About the only place I look these days.Because Walmart model number are never the same as any one else. There built for Walmart just like there tires.Sams club does not sell Sony.Sears I do not go there. So not sure. But regardless of brand there the same height in the store Sony is not put on a higher shelf.
  2. Yes both of mine our Bravia.Go to the store and take a look at the color and picture. When I do that Sony wins every time.
  3. I was looking and came home more confused. The Blue shirt at Best Buy told me to stay away from Sharp.Because they get a thin green line at the bottom of the screen. He showed me one that had it.He claims they do not glue the screen or panel in well and it comes loose and that is what causes the green line?He said if you want a budget TV go with Vizio. He was pushing 4k and if I was buying I would go with the 49'' 4K Sony. However I might just go with a 1080p and forget 4K.But it will be a Sony. That is what I have now and have always had good luck with both of my 32'' Sonys .So to me after you look at Sony you go home. Seems to me people get new TV sets every 3 to 5 years that buy anything but Sony.My newest one is at least 5 years old and the other one is when a 32'' was $1000.00 so its got some age on it for sure.Might wait until one of them crap out.But that might be a long time.
  4. They should put RUST in big letters over there bed wheel wells.Only takes 2 years and its there so why not advertise it?Better yet rather then Ram on the tail gate why not Rust Bucket.
  5. I went with the DeWalt and had to start a new format of batteries and charger 20v If I had went with the Milwaukee I would have had to get the M-12 battery.Milwaukee should have made there spotlight M-18 if they would have that would have been my choice because I have M-18 products and batteries. The DeWalt works great and has more Lumens then the Milwaukee anyway.
  6. I have one also.I use mine all the time.It was hard to turn loose with the $100.00 but would not want to be with out it now.Run time is just about right.Has never left me in the dark. I am a light guy.I consider them an important tool.I have several lights and do not mind paying for good reliable lighting. I also like my DeWalt 20v Spotlight.
  7. Not exactly a tool but I know some contractors use these.http://powerequipment.honda.com/promotions/honda-holiday-sales-event
  8. They run that DeWalt deal often.I went in last weekend and they had the advertisement information.Sitting at there DeWalt display. They had a few of the Combo kits but not all of them.Every time they advertise the Miter saw for $100.00 off its never in the store.Kankakee location.Tried to get it online this summer and would not ring up the $100.00 savings. I did get the spot light that was on sale last weekend for $59.00 great light. Was considering the grease gun with charger and 4.0 battery for $199.00 they only had it as a bare tool. Not sure if they sell out fast of items or if they were not there to begin with? Gave up on the Miter saw and went down the street and bought an Hitachi at Menards.
  9. My Milwaukee Fuel Gen1 1/4'' impact came with a belt clip.I got it around April or May.Did not know about Gen2 being on its way.But never lost any sleep over it.The way I see it Gen 3 is probably next years model.Gen 4 the year after. I got mine as a bare tool.Already had 3 4.0 batteries that came with my 1/2'' impact Milwaukee Fuel.
  10. My wife wanted that DeWalt spot light real bad.We have had the Stanley and others in the past.We are out in the country and have to check for Coyotes at night and morning before sun comes up.Before letting our dog out to do his duty.So we got the spot light for $59.00 at Farm&Fleet. Then rather then spending $70.00 for a charger and $100.00 for the 2 pack battery pack.We found a 1/2'' drill with 2 batteries and charger on sale for for $129.00 Batteries are not the 2or 3or 4or5 but I think 1.5 but should be fine for our use. Now we have DeWalt 20v and 18v and Craftsman 19.2 and Milwaukee 18 fuel tools.Oh well nice spot light for Coyote checking.I told here thats her drill for around the house.
  11. Would love to have that spot light. But would mean a new battery and charger configuration for me.Time I did that it would be a $250.00 spotlight give or take $20.00.
  12. Not sure if its that great a sale but thought I would mention it.Milwaukee $100.00 bundle sale.Milwaukee Fuel Hammer drill Impact driver kit 299.DeWalt instant savings sale $70.00 to$150.00 instant savings.Dewalt 12'' Compound Miter saw reg 299 now 199 http://www.farmandfleet.com/promotions/?postal_code=60914&store_code=21
  13. Guys that gripe about smoking on the job.But they are the Smartphone zombies most of the time.I smoke and work. But they can not work and operate there phone.
  14. Mine was a Black&Decker corded varible speed drill. My wife got that for me the first year we were married back in 1978.I do not think cordless was even know to be available back then.
  15. I will probably in time get a 1/2'' Milwaukee.Since I have several Craftsman power tools I will hang on to them.Unless someone I know is in need of a drill or a loaner. Its good to have about 3 drills anyway. That way you can set them up and do not need to change bits for jobs that require more then one drilling or driving application.
  16. Would be over my head but. There are ways to turn your engine into the compressor. At the flip of a switch one or more engine cylinders compress the air.Just like a semi truck compressing air for its brakes.Or a construction sight compressor that uses the engine to compress the air. Another way would be a compressor that runs off the trucks belt pulley.
  17. Since I have the Milwaukee tools listed and 3 of the 4.0 battery packs now.Milwaukee would be the only way I would sway from the Craftsman 19.2.Just wondering if there would be that much to gain? There the only cordless drills I have owned.
  18. Nice to see there are still 15 year olds who show a true interests in tools.Thats great that your putting your money toward something that can last you a life time and can grow as you can afford it.Rather then video games and things like that.
  19. I can see that they have been discussed. But not very recent.I think I have about 7 of the Craftsman 19.2 drills.Because they have tool sales and getting a drill with a battery was about the same price as a battery.Or they had a combo deal that came with a drill.I also have there Sawsall,1/2 impact, sander, right angle drill,1/4'' impact.I also have several of there old school black batteries and only 3 lithium ion batteries and several chargers. I recently discovered Milwaukee Fuel M-18 and have there 1/2'' drive friction ring impact. It is a Beast and also there Fuel M-18 1/4'' impact. They are both nice and out perform the Craftsman I have. Wondering if there would be any advantage to go with a Milwaukee drill over the Craftsman.I have both 3/8 and 1/2 drills.no hammer drills in my set.Or should I just stick with my 7 I have now.
  20. Thats for sure and it is a shame what has happened. When I was a kid my dad took me through the Craftsman section and I was hooked. When I was around 11 years old he got me my first start on Craftman tools for Christmas.I think that was my best child hood Christmas. It was the gray Craftsman tool box with a few screw drivers and a 3/8 ratchet and a socket set and a set of combination wrenches and pair of pliers.I was hooked and still have that box and ratchet and socket set. Luckily I managed to build a large set of Craftsman tools before they went to China.Back when there ratchets were decent and had the ball oiler on the end. That kept them working smoothly. When there Life time warranty meant something.Today you would not find an accosiate to replace a broken tool anyway.
  21. If Sears does fold as I feel in time they will?Someone will need to be the new main supplier of Craftsman.I know there are other stores that carry Craftsman. However they all seem very limited to what they carry. HD perhaps?Or better yet Craftsman stores.Sort of like a Harbor freight for Craftsman tools.Except better quality. Not that Craftsman tool quality has not slipped in the past several years.
  22. The last few times I have been in my local Sears.I have noticed there help is next to worthless.I only shop the tool department.I use to buy only Craftsman.Until Made in China ruined that. About a month ago I went in and bought a 19.2 battery pack. The service was terrible took the guy forever to ring it up.After I waited for him to even come to the check out counter.I figured he was new so I was patent. That time he was the only employee I could find in the area. Yesterday I went in and they had the red handled pry bars on sale.I have been wanting a set of them. Also the T handle screw driver set was on sale.I know there made in China and are a little gimmicky but do look to be useful at times. So I go up the the checkout counter and no one is there.I notice two guys at a second checkout counter further back in the store. Both were in the tool department earlier. So I walk there way and get to the counter. One of them walks off back to where I was?The other is checking out other customers and was slow and moved like a snail.Same guy I had a month earlier and I did not want to deal with him again. The guy who walked back to where I was just walked away from the counter not to be seen.I got pi$$ed.Took the T handle set and Pry bars.Tossed them up on a end cap.Said a few choice words and headed for the door. This was at the Kankakee Illinois store in the mall.Is this happening in all Sears stores or just this location. There use to be a older guy that worked there.Who really ran that department well. But they must of let him go or he retired or died.Several Sears stores I have heard folded up.Maybe this one is about to. I did notice they had card board displays they were getting ready for Holiday specials like Black Friday items. But if they could not handle a slow day.How will they manage the holiday rush.
  23. I have one of those Troybilt Honda powered pressure washers from Lowes also.It has served me well for several years now.It owes me nothing if it craps out tommorow.
  24. When I was a kid one of our farmer neighbors had one of those Homelite saws.I never seen him use it.But can remember seeing him with it.He had been out cutting small trees out of a fence line with it.Not sure if there was some kind of advantage or not.But this guy was an extreme cheap skate. So more then likley he saved a few bucks when he bought it.
