  1. I see a bunch floods every year and there's really no way to prevent them things just break out of the blue. I've seen solder joints that are over 50 years old just pop off one day. Water makes the most damage in a house even worse than fires sometimes, just make sure you have good insurance!!
  2. Some say hes still there!! All jokes aside it is truly amazing what these guys did with an axe. I could never do it
  3. Yea he had surgery on his eye I don't think it healed yet, but I'm not sure what the surgery was suppose to correct. It might be because hes standing at an angle other videos are not that noticeable
  4. All the different color temperature's available now have made light bulb changing a hassle so I don't do it anymore. I only do one's that homeowner's can't get to like on tall 20 foot ceilings and on top of staircases but they must have the new bulbs there.
  5. I'm not a fan of Nest products there a little over priced. I don't know what code is in your area but we need a smoke detector in each bedroom and hallways connected to the bedroom plus they must all be interconnected. So for a four bedroom house six smoke detectors are required, only a crazy person would buy that many nest detectors. I have never personally installed one so I can't hate them to much..lol
  6. It really is, I hope to see a TIA review on this one day Nest is for the birds Did you see what I did there..lol
  7. I'm more of a soft white guy, I guess its just your age..jk The daylight bulbs are a little to much when its night time your brain still things its day time, with soft white your brain realizes its time to go to sleep soon. It may be just me but a lot of people have said something similar. I do use 4 foot Cool White fluorescent's where ever I can, there about 4100k There's really only one problem with incandescent's they use to much electricity maybe two they don't last long. They dim very well and every LED manufacturer is trying to get there product to dim like an incandescent as well as trying to make the shape of the bulb the same as an incandescent. This is just my opinion
  8. Check this out guys!! Super innovative. This is also a great channel to watch
  9. They should I by a ton of there stuff Thanks, yea you definitely should
  10. Thanks man I try. Go for it!! Plus a five year warranty. Thanks!! That's the same thing I said great find how could you beat that?
  11. Yea I know they are for indoor use only but that's where they wanted it. The globe fits snug on the fixture you can't even slide a piece off paper in between and there's a rubber washer on the finial. It should last a few years even though its not potted or outdoor rated. I have been putting in Wall pack leds, parking lot lights and small led fixtures for my commercial customers over the recent years. I said the same thing when it fails the whole fixture is trash, you might be able to buy parts but it's cheaper to swap out the whole light. I've noticed individual leds burning out on the commercial fixtures I installed slowly but surely.
  12. Here's a little review on a twin pack Led fixture from Home Depot for only 24 dollars. As a sparky I always have to buy inexpensive fixtures when doing a re-wire or repair. I use to buy fixtures for 10 dollars plus buy two bulbs for the fixtures and the fixtures always looked cheap to me. One day I found this twin pack at HD which was basically the same price with bulbs I was paying for the other lights and gave it a shot. I went back and bought out the whole store it was expensive to do but it is worth it to provide my customers with a better product. These lights are awesome and brighter than the sun, plus two led lights for 24 dollars how could you go wrong. They have great specs, very well made, all copper wire and have a long life expectancy. They come pre assembled you don't have to take the globe apart which saves time to install, I took it apart so you can see inside. I really can't find anything negative to save about it expect if the light fails you have to replace the whole fixture. But Comes with a five year warranty and I installed over 30 without any problems. Don't know about if it will last the crazy 45 years it claims but I'm sure someone will replace it with something else before that..lol The last two pictures are a before and after fixture install. I most likely forgot to mention a million things..lol Now is the time to upgrade to Led lighting guys!!! You should only upgrade to led if you are using the fixture for more than 3 hours a day everyday. You most likely will not get your money back in energy savings if the fixture is used for less than 3 hours a day. Many pros and cons to led technology. If you have any lighting questions ask away!! I hope I did a some what good review Specs 920 lumens, color temperature 2700K (warm white), 80 CRILasts 45 years or 50,000 hours of continuous useDimmableOnly 14.5 watts of power11 inch flushmountCrazy 5 year warranty!!Comes in two colors Oil rubbed or Brushed Nickel 2 pack for only 24 dollars, (two fixtures included)
  13. Nice!! How is it in the ground?? Did he just drill it into the ground? Thats crazy. It better be a huge tree because they will still hit it here Yup, the next person who hits it will have parts missing off the car
  14. Saw this on a Autozone with orange paint, the paint made it all the way down the wall and onto the sidewalk. Don't paint in the rain.lol
  15. I will be installing a motion sensor shot gun behind the mailbox, the mailman will have to duck his head everyday..lol
  16. Any company here would just keep going The war on mailboxes is bigger than the war on drugs. Its big money for mailbox manufactures
  17. Yup there will be a hole in there radiator next time..lol I put it in the ground like 3 feet deep ten years ago they must have been going fast to break it. Wow I need to up my game forsure You have no idea
  18. Yup, a bucket is much cheaper They would hit that no problem here Thanks man!! I hope so its very tiring
  19. It seems like everyday I come home to find an unexpected repair. Someone ran over my mailbox and stood it back up like no one will notice. My luck needs to change, things have been breaking non stop around the house. 2016 needs to end already..lol Time for a steel pole and 160 pounds of concrete
  20. The thing that looks like a horseshoe I have that its nice. I haven't seen any changes on the shelves but saw new stuff online. Yea I have double sided bits but I never seen the square drive double sided bit before
  21. A.O Smith owns State now, there made in the same factory. I don't see that much State heaters here, why do you say there no good. I think they are made a little cheaper than A.O Smith or so I heard. The new Naeca 3 standards have made water heater change outs hell, I have to down size the heater a lot. I strongly believe A.O Smith makes the best heaters and Bradford White is second place.
  22. Sweet I hope someone on the forum wins
