  1. Thanks I try, what do you want to know about pushmatic?? I see them from time to time I replaced one a few months ago and kept the guts in case someone can't afford a new panel. I like how you push the breaker to turn it on and off I think its really cool. I think there from the 70's, you can still buy the breakers but they cost a lot of money.
  2. This panel was most likely burned do to old age or loose connections. There was also a bunch of different manufacturers breaker on this panel I don't think that caused any damage but your suppose to only use the same manufacture as the panel. Thanks Mondo I try to help people as best I could
  3. Nice job Carl!! Is that a 2inch main?? Nice propress work, are you using blue monster thread tape?? Your not required to put tape on the copper to separate from the strut pipe clamps?? Sorry for the 20 questions..lol No zip ties thats sad :/
  4. Haha, this would be a great radio for the UTBGA!!
  5. You're to fast for me Carl..lol Good to know your on top of these questions, maybe I can answer the next one before you That is forsure a strainer on the line, I like that they used propress fittings don't see that to much here. The bad thing I see hear is there not using proper pipe supports, zip ties are forsure not code approved.lol
  6. Typical burned up I-T-E panel, this was actually the best part of the panel. Busbar was burnt all the way down, all breakers are blown up. Customer does not have money to replace panel, only some breakers still work, they have extension cords everywhere. At least they have some power to keep the fridge, tv, and some lights working. Hopefully they get some money together soon, I felt bad for her so I didn't charge for the service call.
  7. I see crap like this a lot, if its the main panel it should have 2/0 copper wire minimum for 200amps. The ground and neutral are parallel they should be separated, the black and red wire needs to be swapped red always goes on the right. The jacket on that orange 10/2 romex needs to be cut back, they are using 6/3 romex which is only good up to 55amps. It would be difficult to pass inspection here with that 200amp breaker even if it is being feed off of a 60 amp breaker from the main panel. I guess this is a subpanel but it is all wrong, you mentioned it was a garage if it is a separate structure than two ground rods are needed for the subpanel. That roof is just crazy, we call exposed nails shiners, the boss would kick your butt if he saw any shiners on the roof.
  8. Hell yea freakin awesome!!! Milwaukee loves putting things in huge boxes
  9. Haha, If anyone looks at my screen all it says is porn. I would have some explaining to do
  10. Just installed the motion sensing shotgun And it works don't ask me how I know..lol The money tree is in tough shape after this :/
  11. Its true all good things must come to an end, its like I watched the room grow up now its off to college..lol Looks great 99!! maybe keep us up to date with the rest of the flooring
  12. Nice tools everyone, almost everyone of my notification's says tool porn..lol
  13. Thanks everyone it does suck but no one was hurt so that's what counts. I did lose some stuff, any parts that were in a small cardboard box are gone. I had a magnetic strip screwed to the underside of the lid with some screwdrivers and small tools on it. I didn't look for the lid because I was probably a mile away from where it ripped off by the time I was able to pull over. I saw all the cars coming down all the lanes so I knew it wasn't on the highway or else I would have gone back and took it off the road. It really scared the crap outta me it took a few minutes for me to calm down. The turnpike is a dangerous place so I needed to get back on the road quickly and safely. This could have been a lot worse someone could have gotten into an accident, it even could have rained and then the rest of the stuff in the box would have been trash. I'm trying to get the truck back together so I could go back to work, buying new stuff sucks. Crazy thing is my buddy called me today and said they broke into his truck Friday morning and stole a Demo Chipping Hammer that's worth over a $1000 and he couldn't go to work without it. Building America one house at a time proves to be very difficult. Everyone stay safe out there and keep your tools save as well!!
  14. Haha, that's because you're supposed to buy the DeWalt 12 volt laser Dan and Eric just review to set your outlet boxes.
  15. Smoke detectors are supposed to be replaced every ten years, but there's only a small amount of people who actually do. Its a small price to pay to protect your biggest investment of your life, your home.
  16. When you reach Mach One on the highway and your toolbox disintegrates and all your stuff gets sucked out. What a crappy day but at least no one got hurt or hit with the lid, almost shit myself when I heard the noise. I have no idea what happened it was locked as evident by the latch damage. Maybe someone tried to break into it before hand and it broke when I was driving. Husky brand toolbox I bought over ten years ago, abused daily, sad to see it go.
  17. Usually 17 inches center of the box from the floor for outlets and 48 center of box for switches. I do see them all over the place on older homes. It has been fun following your project sad to see it almost done, I'm sure your happy that its almost done..lol
  18. Dang I'm to late to answer this, they should be called life saver's. Or I just saved the homeowner a bunch of cash and they still think the bill its to high..lol
  19. Insane!!! Time to trade in the 2009 F150, after I win the lottery
  20. Seen this before, its so awesome. I wonder what she thinks the picture of the oil can is..lol
  21. All the money he has just let it go and enjoy that money
  22. That's not true, I do it all the time I just did a job on Friday installing 5 new smoke detectors in an old home. Anytime an electrical inspection is done here and theres no smoke detectors or GFCI's in the kitchen and bath I fail inspection. The smoke detectors can be installed with in 1.5 to 2 hours, I will try to do a little post later on showing the process. Never seen these before, how much does one set you back?
  23. Looks really good. Dang looks like there's not enough clearance for the outlet cover, I hate cutting them than there not symmetrical :/
