  1. Oh yea I sure have! I have some pictures of two of them I have to find them on my phone and post them
  2. Thanks guys!! I have heard that the hinge is a little loosey goose
  3. You get less money for copper that has had insulation burned off, but copper prices are super low right now. Its not even worth it. I think Southwire has an ID code on one of the strands of wire so if you burn the insulation its still on the wire.
  4. Does anyone have the DCL050 Dewalt Area Light, if so what are the cons if any. How has the pivoting head held up and will this work well in an attic . Has the hook held up and can it be hung by a 2x4. I will probably be purchasing it this week unless you guys don't recommend it. ANy help is much appreciated, Thanks guys!!!
  5. Super late post, I'm trying to make the time to post and interact with you guys. I got a lot of stuff saved to share since I've been absent from here. This is forsure a Trick no treats here. FPL was called out late that night and shut the building down after finding a cut Neutral from the main feeder coming off trans. Damn crackheads needed some more sugar that night.
  6. Dude do you need my address to send me all that?
  7. Thanks, yea I just gave a price on one to change out like two days ago there thinking about it. They have no power so they need to think fast..lol Someone should be getting sued over this. They actually are illegal because that main breaker has to be bolted down. But why do you say its illegal??
  8. The old setup was just one box, anytime theres a meter combo or a meter bank the manufacture just uses a metal bar to run power to breaker. Its cheaper for them to make it like that instead of using wire but some company's use a mixture of metal and wire to run the circuit. Hope that makes sense
  9. Every single one of these Siemens meter mains are burning up in two different communities in my area. I have done three this year and lost count of how many estimates given over the phone for these. They are only around ten years old or so. I estimate maybe there is about 200 hundred of these still in service the rest have been changed. This one looks bad because feeders from Utility and panel are extremely short the neutral for the panel had to be spliced. Bonding bridge was added for low voltage. Siemens panel are junk, this new setup with an actual main instead of a branch type breaker will last the test of time. I'am using a Siemens meter can here but I don't have a problem with there meters and not many manufactures make those small cans. And that Square D main will last as long as the house is standing. I believe the problem is using a branch circuit breaker type instead of a main is a factor in why these are failing. Even though you can plug a 125 amp breaker on any panel as long as your service is rated for it. A load calculation always has to be done here for any electrical work and 125 amps works but they should be 150 amps. I have upgraded others to 150 amps because the feeders were burnt and had to be pulled. This one had to stay 125 because the feeders were still good but it was really short.
  10. I realize now that The Home Depot was only five years old. Such a waste
  11. Lowe's is for chicks..lol Nobody goes there I know there losing money its been like that since they built the place. I went there on black friday just to see how empty it was, I was like the only one there. It is still a mystery why they burned down the Home Depot by me and then knocked it down just a few months after the fire. This happened in 2013 and Lowe's still didn't gain any customers they just went to the other HD thats a few miles away. I will admit the two HD's seemed pointless being so close to each other. The HD had minor fire damage and the fire never penetrated the roof, it seems like an insurance scam. The HD was not that old maybe only like 8 years or so, but its just an empty lot now. Maybe HD was losing money having the two stores. When I saw them tearing it down I couldn't believe it such a waste of money to knockdown a newer building. That little smoke cloud is about as bad as it got, ask yourself how does this become a tear down. America needs to stop being so wasteful. Don't know why I started talking about this but it bothers me how you can just cash in on something like this. Tell me what you think
  12. Yea multidrivers, and meters are made overseas and anything with lots of parts is made overseas from them. But I like Klein because I learned the trades with them, even if the quality is not what it use to be its still better then Harbor Freight..lol Plus if a tool is left behind on a job its not expensive to replace, attic work eats up tools like nobody's business. If you drop a screwdriver in blown in insulation you will not find it. Also if you are crawling in the attic like G.I Joe tools fall out your pocket or hands.
  13. Yes snips I'm a little rusty on the datacom lingo..lol I use the Klein 21010-6 with the larger yellow handle. Nice to meet you Foneguy
  14. Yup scissors are a low voltage mans best friend. You can order it online as many as you want free shipping on $45 orders. Let me know if this works for you http://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-Electrician-s-Wiring-and-Testing-Kit-7-Piece-Z00019/207074262
  15. Would you know where I can find a picture of that kit somewhere?
  16. There testers do seem to give you a false reading just by bumping something, and I use there scissor's for datacom work. Believe it or not scissor's are a data mans number one tool.
  17. You mean these baby's..lol These don't have the tape puller though, their is a red handle vinyl pliers that I prefer over these though.
  18. I was suppose to buy this on Tuesday when I was there but forgot. $50 at Home Depot, I own all these tools already some even triples or quads but it was a fair price. Did anyone buy this and what do you thing about the price? Combo kits are always less money then buying individually but sometimes the combo kits don't sound like good deals.
  19. I haven't been on here much, crazy busy. But I'm glad to see Penny Ricky is still slaying the penny deals
  20. Yea I'm a Stihl man, if I don't have a lot of land I would pull the trigger on the Dewalt battery equipment.
  21. Hey whats up Kruton!! Yea I have an old Shindaiwa that I put a speed feed on, it is fast to load
  22. So I have been extremely busy and haven't been around on here which is sad. Hopefully I can find the time to start posting again soon. So with that being said I think I may have gotten a good deal on something for once. I was at HD renting a lift yesterday and on the shelf of used equipment I saw a string trimmer for sale. I usually don't see anything to interesting on the shelf but this trimmer looked brand new. I saw it was $200 regularly discounted to $150 an employee saw me looking at it and told me I will give it to you for $130, I said sold! This is really funny because everything in my life is a coincidence it is weird but it truly is. I was up late the night before watching YouTube videos and watched one on getting Like New Echo equipment for cheap. In which he goes into detail about HD and what RTV is. Now I am not an Echo fan at all but the trimmer is for the old man. I am a Stihl man through and through as evident by this trimmer getting photo bomb by my Stihl pole saw This trimmer is brand new with no scratches or anything, I got it dirtier in 10 minutes of use more than anything. You can tell buy the head its not even scratched which happens as soon as you touch concrete. From what I understand $50 off is the norm for this trimmer and they always get them in but I never seen one on the shelve until now. It is a model SRM-225 and with the short time I used it today I really don't like it I like big, heavy, powerful string trimmers like my Stihl FS 130 R. The Echo is under powered, very small tank, has a tiny shield which I take off I hate shields. The head is small does not hold a lot of string and the trimmer itself seems short. I know the 130 is a professional model and theres no comparison but I have owned a lot of trimmers and know what a good trimmer is. I have a Shindaiwa that is 20 years old and used weekly all its life, as well as many others. So I have gone on and on so time to stop typing. I think the $20 extra off was what sold me because I knew 50 is usual and this one was basically new. I paid sticker prices all the time so this was different. And the trimmer was almost sold to someone else while I was outside hooking up the lift with another employee..lol But I came back inside with the guy and at the same time we both said you can't sell that. While another employee was ringing it up for another customer. Anyways I will shut up now
  23. Hey Carl! I'm still alive but just barely. Yea summer time is brutal on electrical meters an air conditioners here in South Florida. Everything is burning up, heat index of 105 or higher everyday with 60-70 percent humidity. I think I might just get some battery's first for my 20v stuff, I'm disappointed that the 60v tools are only 2 amp hours battery life
  24. My Home Depot just got some Flexvolt tools!! If you can just load that pallet on my truck I'd appreciate it
