  1. Haha, the hydro side doesn't work. You must be a Chevy guy
  2. Here's a picture of my buddies A/C recovery unit, its salvageable because he had it in the box in the truck. It will smell like smoke forever but its a $800 machine
  3. I do HVAC work as well and see it all the time. The few dollars they get clauses thousands of dollars in repairs
  4. You know it's Monday when the bucket truck won't move. Tried to fix some parking lot lights today but its Monday and the truck wants nothing to do with it. I guess my day went better than my buddies because his truck caught fire last night and burned to the ground. He lost all his tools but has full coverage on his truck tools are not covered and the car next to his truck melted. I delete his pictures by accident so I have no pictures but here's me stuck in the bucket truck.
  5. The guys have made some good points. Does the sink faucet in that bathroom take the same amount of time to get hot water or does the shower take longer?? Do you have a tub spout??
  6. Its crazy how much some of those designers charge but when it comes to doing my work they always want a lower price. There like its not in the budget well if you weren't getting paid it would be well in budget
  7. It looks really nice I like the wood floors, but to be honest that tile is giving me a headache if I was grouting I would get dizzy.lol
  8. That is true but the condensing tank less unit cost more to buy versus a propane unit. You also have to run a drain line for the condensing tank less. Another way would be to buy an outdoor tank less which would be direct vent but than getting all the piping outside would be pricey. It would be nice to just put an electric Titan N-120 in and be done with it
  9. Have fun on your trip!! Most likely your electrical service can't handle the load of the electric tank less from what your telling me. It would be a much cheaper option than propane tank less, for a propane tank less you need 3/4 cold water line, 3/4 gas line, 3/4 relief line, 120 volts for controls, and stainless steel flue pipe through the roof which is very expensive. An electric tank less just needs a 60 amp 220 line and 3/4 cold water pipe and 1/2 hot water pipe. Maybe you can do some of the work yourself for the propane unit and just hire out the flue piping and gas piping which is the most critical part of the system. Also a propane unit will cost about 3-4 times more money compared to the electric tank less just to the buy the unit. If you have more questions ask away and let me know what you decide to do
  10. In your case you do need a tank less unit. Do you know how many amps your electric service is??
  11. I trust my life with my Fluke meters I will never use anything else. I like Klein hand tools there great tools at a very good price and last a long time, the only pair of linesman pliers I like are Klein.
  12. We need more brushless recip saws on the market the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Milwaukee
  13. Speeding doesn't kill you coming to a sudden stop does.
  14. Looking good!! Its going to feel so relaxing once you finish building it and you get to sleep on it.
  15. I know that's why its so silly. Ground should always be first on last off
  16. Its like one of those bags of Cheetos that has all the different favors
  17. I heard of a lot different reasons, ground up so when you trip on an extension cord the ground comes out first. I like that one the most because it shows how dumb humans are and they act like the extension cord has a brain and knows ground out first.lol
  18. Looks nice that red really pops!! So do the arms pivot to allow it to fall??
  19. OMG that was the same tooth..lol
  20. One swift pull and shes outta there I was looking for a smiley face with a missing tooth..lol
  21. Someone else but I had to use a pair of diagonal cutters to cut the wire off my braces when I was younger it was stabbing me and they where closed for the weekend.
  22. On some of the new turnpike construction they have like 6 feet of base, I think there using recycled crushed concrete and the asphalt is like a foot thick. They pave it a few times each time its like 3-4 inches for a regular road its like a foot of base and then like 4 inches of asphalt. But on a driveway to a house the existing earth is compacted and about 3 inches of asphalt. We only have like 4-8 inches of topsoil here and then its solid coral rock if you have to dig a 5 inch hole you better go get the chipping hammer. It sucks the tree roots don't even go down they just stay on the surface
  23. I use my linesman pliers for everything, hammer, bolt cutter, tweezers, even pulled out a tooth once
  24. Awesome work Its coming along nicely, it matches the house very well. That big tree so close to the house scares me with the roots.
  25. Ground down for me, do you have your GFCI ground up? In some industrial settings and airports they specify ground up sometimes
