  1. Keep ur head up Rego!! Looks great and you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
  2. Awesome!! Looks like you'll have a nice little helper!!
  3. Those poly shades 2 in 1 work pretty good but I feel you get a better overall finish sanding, staining, & finishing all in separate steps!! It's always fun making things pretty..enjoy and post some pics!!!!
  4. I can relate to a bad chuck leaving you pissed the rest of the day..my first Milwaukee drill had some wonky chuck issues..second one is fine though!! Hope it works out for you as makita is my next favorite over the red!!!
  5. Awesome..I curious to see what kind of trade in deal they will do from the gen. 1 to the gen. 2!!
  6. I do like that golf ball..too bad if I played w it I would lose is before the back 9 hahahah
  7. Some of you have seen a recent post about my multi tool dieing (if not, see link below) http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/7289-m18-multi-tool-died/ Milwaukees E-service was easy to follow and painless to complete..less then 8 days there it was patiently waiting for me to come home!!! (: Nothing like tearing into a box and the new tool smell Instead to fixing mine they jus sent a new one and no questions asked!! Process from start to finish was easy and painless..curious as to what other companies warranty claims are like..feel free to leave your expirences below!!!
  8. Thanks man with the heads up about the e service!! About a week and a brand new tool was at my door..can't beat that kind of service!!!
  9. Yea that's a great idea and your probably right!! Few minutes and your good as new!!
  10. Great to hear man!! I've come to enjoy mine but it definitely needs to be cleaned and oiled regularly..I've had great use out of mine aswell but I can tell when it's got too much glue build up or debris and needs tobe cleaned.. It certainly sets the nails nicely and the extra weight takes getting used to but compared to the noise and irritation of a compressor and hose it's figuratively way lighter haha Well worth the money and I'd recommend to anyone..jus needs cleaned and oils after every use!!
  11. Well let's hope they come back around and make a good brushless cordless that isn't shit!! Lord knows we need some more options in the cordless framing nailer category!!
  12. They are most definitely bulky in comparison to a pneumatic nailer but not some much so it's inpractical!! The RIGID is pretty pricey at $230 bare tool & $330 w 1 battery and charger However Ryobis air strike is $130 bare tool..that's as not much more than you'd spend on a worth a darn pneumatic nailer!!
  13. Gotta love the little things..awesome man!!
  14. I like everything about this nailer better than the ryobi except the led light..these guns are practically the same design..only the rigid has brushless and the ryobi is brushed.. There's only 2 things about the ryobi I like better than the Rigid.. -the led lights -the price point!! Overall both good nailers..just keep the head/firing pin lubricaded!!
  15. I'm thinking it was more a lubrication issue than a nail issue(even though good nails do go a long ways)..have you ever oiled the head/firing pin area??
  16. So today I cleaned everything and oiled it back up..seems to work like a charm!! I agree with earlier post by JBW55, a little maintenance a the beginning of a work day isn't too much of a big deal!! I'm big on maintenance anyways so not a big deal..I had jus figured it'd make it a bit longer than it did right out of the box. I'd feel confident to recommend this nailer to anyone that believes on proper maintenance!!!
  17. Completely forgot ab ur post ab the rigid in the beginning..I agree with you that for the money I like the air strike enough that if a little oil fixes my issue then I definitely keep it over the higher priced ones..thanks again for all ur input!!
  18. I'm not saying that I'm giving up of the ryobi but have yall checked out Rigids Hyperdrive brushless nailer?? It's about $100 more and looks like a spitting image of the air strike..it is brushless so runtime is a bit better but the company that owns ryobi & Milwaukee(TTI) also has licenseing agreement with rigid..so I'm curious how different they really are.....
  19. Thanks man..I'm originally from NH so I know what you mean..sounds like you need one of those big propane radiant patio heaters..or 4!! Hahaha That or jus layer up some Milwaukee heated gear lol
  20. Hey thanks to both of y'all..I'm gunna lube it and see how it works out..I could tell it was gettin gummed up in their but didn't have any tool oil or even wd-40!! Sounds like from the link posted regular lubrication and it works fine!! I would have thought hitachi nails would be good but I'll definitely look into that!! Thanks again guys on the encouragement!!!
  21. I got through about 3 or 4 sticks of nails till it did it but once it started it never went away..I'm thinking I'll use some white lithium grease to maybe help lube things up.. I wanna love this gun I really do but that firing pin not resetting us gunna drive me crazy..you gotta pull the head and manually push it back up!!!
