There is a washer right at the tip of the anvil you would have to look into getting a different one, I don't think a 1/2" anvil would fit there.

I have the 1/2" 889, planning on upgrading to the 899 but I wanted a 3/8 when I don't need anything of that caliber.

That's a good idea. I got he Dewalt a while back but those dividers just come out. That's a good price though I'll have to swing by there tomorrow.
You will quickly realize that you can't stop buying these

They do the job well for me and for the money I can't complain especially compared to the shockwaves

Can you do a torque test? Torque bolts with a torque wrench and see if the dewalt will remove. I know a dcf883 will meet its rated torque of 130ft/lbs. I've personally tested it.
I'll see what I can do

So my friend is wanting to build a deck and I have been helping do research on what to use and what not to use and we'll it is a little confusing. I told him there are books out there and YouTube but is there anyone that has built one before and know what speciality tools he can use to make the build go smooth??!!
Menards stocks a couple spacing tools that will help your secure the deck to the beams as well as space them properly.

On those power washers can you adjust the pressure or is it based on what tip you use??
Usually they just adjust the spray pattern not the pressure itself.

YYes I think you must be using the original Dewalt impact bits the best ones are the new flextorq ones the ph2 fits like a dream

I've been shattering dewalt impact bits all week. Is it different bits your talking of, back to wera for me
The best dewalt bits are the max fits, I've only seen them at HD, the flex torsion ones I got at lowes are barely worth the plastic they came in, they don't fit very well, remind me of shockwave, they look like them to.

I like the 3 speeds of my Dewalt drill but milwaukee impacts are beasts.

That's pretty cool, put a slide out bottle opener in it.

That is awesome that it worked. I honestly don't know why Dewalt doesn't have brushless versions yet. They have to test the tool out but still its not like they have to have crazy new tooling. Milwaukee has always launched new compact impact wrenches when they released the new Fuel impact driver.
It took me maybe 20 minutes total, hardest part was getting the old adapter off, as much as I love Dewalt they frustrate me by taking their time with brushless tools. Makita and Milwaukee have a awesome line up. As for the compacts I have the m12 fuel impact driver and that things no slouch.

Not a fan of paddle switches but it's all preference really. Go to Pick some up and get a feel for what you like at the store. Also look into models with vibration dampening you'll thank yourself later.

Update***
Got the impact and the part in and I was able to swap the chucks. Works like a charm, total cost was just around 100 bucks which isn't bad for a brushless impact wrench. I haven't tested it under load yet but there is no play in the chuck, fits like a glove.
Here is pictures of the new Dewalt dcf886b-TIA wrench addition.

If I didn't already have several of the Milwaukee organizers I would give one of these a try. Nice looking box...that's what she said! [emoji16]
