Or you could bypass the whole torque wrench and invest in a twenty dollar torque limiting extension.
-
Just as long as you didn't run it down to the max torque on mode one. Unless of course your wheels need more than one hundred ft/lbs.Would mode 1 work for running lug nuts home then using a torque wrench for final tightening? That's what I do with my Bluepoint air impact at least

I hear the oil fields up there bring in some good coin. My aunt who lives up there says kids in High School are able to work a summer then buy brand new pickups the next school year.

No that just has a tendency of being in the background of all my pictures. That radio is what is up.I hope we are talking about the Toughsystem radio......lol
DeWalt

All the welding suppliers in town (buncha northwes t chains) carry metabo. Nothing at the Lowes tho.

Sweeeeeeeeet thanks bro. More of a team red man myself but I can't argue with free.

Even I wouldn't touch thatCan't get any worse than this:

Yeah you made me get the fine tooth ratchet, when I got that I saw the stubby flex head and had to have it. The hammer though has been a long time coming and I finally couldn't do what I needed to do without it and weent for it because a proto was the only one on the shelf.Uh oh I started something lol

Yeah, exact same tool, just a different head. Proto has the head that goes on this one, just have to order it in though.kinda like a dent puller
-
Sorry I should have said that it's a slide hammer with a three jaw puller attachment. They're sweet. You can put all sorts of things on the ends for pulling everything from dents to freeze plugs. Guess you can't see it in the video but the cast piece slides on the shaft and slams against the top so it sorta works as a reverse hammer, it hammers stuff towards you not away from you. Infinite uses for this if you work with autos or machines.

Day two of my proto buying streak. This sexy behemoth of a tool ran me about $150.
And of course as this is tools in action. Here's some action. Love it.

Thanks!
Very possible. + to + and - to - and you're good to go! I used a donor Ryobi battery for the shell and an M18 work light as a donor for the M18 battery socket. You just have to be careful not to run the battery out, because there is no protection against total discharge.
Dude that's hella sweet.

You know you have a problem when.....
One proto fine tooth. Jimbo made me do it. One Black hawk (stanleys slightly more affordable than proto) with 45 tooth and flex. Both 3/8, total was about 75 dollars.

To be honest I hadnt heard of one before. It just looked some sorta internal pvc cutter for your drill so I googled it and came up with a ram bit. This would have saved my ass a hundred times if they had them in 6" size or 8" size it could have saved hundreds of dollars.Interesting way to Describe it! Where had you heard of something like this? I was pretty dumb when I was 18 lol

Ram bit for taking pvc out of old bells?

I'm just impressed that she knew the word "engine" and said something about a problem. More than you can expect from some.

Yeah the reversal switch problem seems to be unique to the impact wrench. All the new Milwaukee drills and impact drivers I have handled had no issues with the switch. They all felt nice to me with the exception of the loose batteries. Idk why the loose batteries annoy me but they do.Not sure on the comparable build quality of newer tools, but on older Dewalts the selector switch was always the first piece to go. Never had that problem with Milwaukee but that's just my personal experience.

I have a. DeWalt and its pretty neat. The screwdriving mode has a stagger start which is kinda cool. I have made my piece with not having a Milwaukee but there's always a part of of me that wishes I had gone for the Bosch.

Yeah man. I've got a few too many shirts that look like this.Ive done that before, being in metal working and welding and such it does happen. I remember one time years ago i was grinding down a bunch of welds with a bit huge grinder the wheel musta been 8 or 9 inches in diamter or so,dont think it had a guard on it. Before long the sparks ate a hole in the front of my shirt. The worst is when you have cutting oils and such already on your clothes.
It took me too long to invest in some of those leather sleeves that you pull on over your shirt. It took flash burning my left arm from wrist to shoulder to the point where it looked like old brown leather the next morning, then it peeled twice over the course of several weeks. That one was from arc welding piping for several hours on a 110 degree day in a short sleeve white t shirt. I always wear sleeves on any extended welding now, don't need skin cancer.
Anybody else see this?
