  1. Wow, very good to hear! After seeing that video of the blade shootout between Dewalt and a couple others I was figuring these would be budget blades that wouldn't hold up, but would still be worth it for so cheap. Glad they are performers!
  2. K5 is the new one. Just picked one up myself, really slick. I'll post a pic tomorrow of it mounted on a piece of plywood for quick and easy use.
  3. Well, this is my favorite. Have plenty of crap that isn't worth a pic, haha.
  4. Hey, wanted to thank you for the tip Fat-ass, er I mean, @Hugh Jass! Jumped on that deal and just tried out one of the blades making a mounting base for my Kreg K5 setup. Worked like a charm! That reminds me, I should probably post up some pics in the "What did you buy" thread.
  5. Probably need one of each, at least! I agree with you on the cordless in many cases, but if I've got power and air, no running out of juice, which drives me nuts with my other battery tools sometimes.
  6. OK, thanks, sounds like I'm good to go! This little sucker is pretty slick. Lot of force for a 1-pound dealio.
  7. Right. I just figured if you pressed it against flat surface it wouldn't go off. I'm really impressed with it though! Certainly not something for driving finish nails anyway. Your battery model operates similarly?
  8. Blow... Ok, too easy... Nose job
  9. Hey Jimbo, Well I was under the impression that it would only fire if there was a nail protruding from the wood surface. However, I notice that it will fire on a flat surface if I pull it up, and then press down again. That said, I think it probably is working correctly, otherwise it would be very difficult to get a nail driven flush.
  10. Just got one and am unsure if it is defective, or working as it should.
  11. I don't know you, but I think I might hate you! Helluva bargain!
  12. Couple new Hitachi's to go with my new compressor.
  13. Nice! I ordered the PN50 pneumatic. One thing is that it is much easier to use if you hold the nail with your free hand until it is sunk a bit. Just like you would with a regular hammer. The PN50 instructions even tell you to do that. Avoids those crooked nails.
  14. Thanks for the encouragement fg! These will be staying put, unless I end up with an artificial one.
  15. Thanks Kruton and Chris, glad to hear I don't need to make yet another purchase! I really like that JC10, and that is a sweet setup!
  16. I'm curious if you guys use a water trap or separator or whatever their called?
  17. Really surprising just how quiet it is. Hard to tell from videos. I'll be sure to post my impressions once it sees some use. Wish I could have found one of those Husky's, they were a steal for a while there!
  18. I couldn't have @taylorv1 having all of the new-compressor fun! Just received my new California Air Tools 4610A. I'm pretty happy with it, smaller in person than I thought. 1 hp at 60 dB puts out 3.80 cfm @ 40 psi, 2.35 cfm @ 90 psi. 4.6 gal twin tank. 44 lb. 7 amp. Two quick-release connectors. I tweaked the pressure switch and pressure differential switches a bit to get a 90 psi cut in and 120 psi cutoff.
