  1. Help me out here, I have a 985(and 791 which I prefer, obviously no hammer), whats not to like about the 996 selector?

     

    Also I'm trying to understand your logic, your willing to switch platforms while

    Because your unsure of Flexvolt?

     

    Flexvolt expands on your existing tools without investing in a whole other line, I'd think the cost of changing platforms would far and away justify staying with DeWalt.

    Ripping 2 No. 2.7m studs (70mm  wide) is as much material as 77 cross cuts only much more blade binding, and less chip clearing ability...

    I have a DCS391 and make rips all the time, no problem.  Granted I go through about 4-6 4ah batteries a day but that's what they are for.  I don't even own a corded circ saw.
