Well for those of us that see and know things we can't talk about.... we can talk about em now ?
The new Bluetooth stuff is coming soon.
Stuart dropped the news on his site:
http://toolguyd.com/dewalt-bluetooth-power-tools-and-modules-2017-expansion/
The details are vague at best but 3 new drills and an impact, add-ons for existing tools and tool tracking tags.

you guys all have been great thank you for all the advice
Get m18 with slim battery packs the size difference is unnoticeable with the drill and impact, get a couple XC packs for high draw tools like saws. You'll be glad you started off with the more powerful battery line.

those 3 compressors are all the same, all made by Stanley Black & Decker, all 3 are very decent, I have the Bostitch and it has ran everything I've ever needed, I roof and frame with mine.

They physically will not fit, yes it is possible to mod them to work, with enough time and money anything can be done... I'd call this in endeavour of wasting both time and money.

So you were given shipping details right? Can you track it? I wonder if they're waiting for everyone to get their info in first before they send them out individually...
Nope, no details, no tracking, no acknowledgement.

Unfortunately my 2 favorites are somewhat hard to find near me.
1) Taylor Beef Jerky, they were sold in local Shell stations for years but haven't seen them in a while.
2) Roberson Hickory smoked Jerky, they are sold at Love's Truck Stops under Love's brand, there is a Love's about 1/2 hour away and when I can I grab some but doesn't seem often enough.

They've been around a couple years, my son is a mechanic at the Ford dealer and the shop manager has drill in his office, my son says the looks and feels like Harbor Freight's finest.

I'm hoping the 5 and 4 are good, if not probably under warranty, the rest I'll voltage test and see if I can "revolt" them and worst case I can rebuild at least 4 of the 3s.

But I'm also three shakes of a stick away from redneckville so the population is a teaspoon compared to a big city
Big city ha!... I'm in SW Michigan... I'm in the 2nd largest city around with a pop of 45k.

"Mostly" quit drinking adult beverages but the few times a year I do, I enjoy Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout
I hadn't been to a Doctor in about 15-20 years so my wife sent me a few weeks ago.... I went from perfectly healthy to pre-diabetic and high cholesterol.... so now I can't eat or drink anything that tastes good... My soda of choice is Diet Code Red Mountain Dew, it at least seems to have flavor I can kinda enjoy
and I also kinda like Sugar Free Rockstar

I look forward to more questionable (or misleading) stats from Red this year. I also expect they will try to shoot for the moon. They won't like that they got out-innovated last year.
HAHA, can't wait to see all the new LED lights they come out with!!!!!! they should play off Ryobi's theme... "One battery, 100+ lights, oh and we have some tools too." I need to submit that to their marketing team!!

This is what I'm currently swinging
22oz framer, not the best I've ever had or used but the way I tend to lose em I don't see a need to spend more than $20-25 for a hammer, and if I were forced to drive nails with a hammer all day I wouldn't be in this line of work.

I've had tools inside of 2 years I've needed service for and both Lowes and HD have just simply swapped them out for new, to be fair though the only Milwaukee tool I needed replaced through HD was a hand tool, but Lowes has just over the counter exchanged for brand new power tools.

Milwaukee and Dewalt both have shows in June seemingly every year. Milwaukee's is called "new product symposium" (NPS), Dewalt shows I honestly haven't paid much attention to. I know Milwaukee has had a big show for at least the past 5 years. I only started really paying attention to yellow last year with "world's first" and their marketing campaign and FlexVolt blowout. Before that I just made fun of the guys on site using Dewalt because there never seemed to be any cool stuff coming out while Milwaukee had tons of great stuff. Now we know what they were up to lol.
Yep both companies have big ole shindigs ever June. While watching the coverage via social media last year I laughed my ass off, During NPS DeWalt was silent, quietly letting Milwaukee have their day and during DeWalt's event Milwaukee was literally throwing a temper tantrum.... Big red: "Look at me guys" "so what they have a dual voltage battery, whe have a 9.0". Milwaukee even launched a website within minutes of the FlexVolt announcement comparing the non existing 9.0 to the FV 2/6.0.
But back on point both companies drop new tools quite often with out a bunch of fanfare. When new tools drop we all find out pretty quickly with TIA (and crew), ToolGuyd, Toolnut, and others rapidly getting the news out.

I'm kicking around the idea of grabbing some Ryobi stuff too, gotta fill the gap that DeWalt just leaves empty and some non daily use ones too.
What did you do today? A thread dedicated to the general use of tools in your projects.
