I have both a German made unit and a PRC unit. The plastic bodies are identical, with the only differences showing up on the grinder head itself. The price on this one was worth it for the batteries alone.

(Batteries from both showed as assembled in Hungary.)

yeah, they really are good tools, I've used the paddle switch version of the old grinder, I would rather have that version compared to the german made one. I only have locking grinders atm Would really love to have a non locking though. Wonder if someone would trade grinders...

$149.99 minus $20 one time use coupon... I could not resist . Total was $129.99 including shipping.

This is NOT again, this is the Chinese Made Paddle switch version. This was the more expensive one that they waited to put on sale as It was released later than the locking one. Fuck me Made in china or not I want.

Milwaukee really needs to make Amazon an authorized dealer. You can get Dewalt at Lowe's, HD, Amazon, Sears and every other place you can buy Milwaukee...that's why Dewalt sells more.

According to Home Depot Corporate, Amazon is Home Depot's #1 competitor (I still have access to my HD email.) Which is wierd because Both lowe's and HD have amazon echo.

  4. So I'm the unfortunate sob to run the Xmas tree corral at my store, I cant find or fit into my old pair of duluth pants I bought when i did construction in oklahoma because I lost a ton of weight so i bought some with the 20% off deal. I Think they cheapened the fabric. Its been 3 days and the wallet area is already beginning to show signs of failure, some of the seams are starting to show, though they're double stitched. I have a pair of faded glory cargo's that I've had for 5 years that look better than these. Has anyone bought any firehose pants from duluth lately?

These are my two main EDC carry firearms. I carry about 300 days a year. I'm really into EDC so I'll be posting daily or weekly pocket dumps... here are some more random EDC pictures.

I used to carry, had Springfield armory xd45 but I never really needed it or ever pulled it out other than at the range. Just sold it, miss the damn thing though

You know, I have no idea. The brick was used to build the central chimney column in my house and it has 3 flues in it for the wood stove and two fireplaces. I suppose it's entirely possible that it is fire retardant brick. How do you tell?  Is it extra hard? I've drilled into it before without problem with a Tapcon branded bit.

I dunno why i asked that was really really tired and no its not extra hard bit softer iirc

A little off topic but it's my thread so what the hey- I've noticed since the dewalt 996 came out there haven't been really any drill fights posted anywhere except for jimbo's video. Now I'm a Milwaukee guy but after using the 996 for a few weeks I really think itll come out on top.

Dewalt uses gear ratio vs milwaukee's Amp draw on their motor, I think the gearing has reduces the vibration tremendously at high speed on the dewalt thus reducing chuck wobble, but yeah RoHM chucks are infinitely better than the shitty chucks they have on the milwaukee drills. All chucks have a bit of wobble except for the makita drill, for some reason I think that one is extremely well balanced and there isnt much or any wobble at all.

I have a new M18 fuel drill and mine wobbles a good bit. Really starting to bother me!! Especially since it's only about eight months old! I played with a few at Home Depot on display the other day and they all wobbled as well. I'm guessing that they're just not very precision like that used to be

They all wobble, the only ones that didnt wobble are the first generation first model gen 1 fuel drills. Sometimes its the bit though that makes the wobble outrageous otherwise it really doesn't mess with anything. If you want zero wobble you should get a keyed chuck drill, makita xph07, metabo or any of the other german tool makers (Sans Bosch, they wobble crazy).

  11. So update on the light, leaving the thing on high working on my car for about 2 hours or so burned the top left (facing the light) and the bottom left Led's the diode melted, ambient temps at around 58 inside my garage with the door open about 2 inches. Returned the light promptly and got another one. Hopefully it was just a lemon.
