I totally agree with this. My hearing is badly damaged anyway but it greatly benefits my residents when working in their apartments. I've had noise complaints from using my impact but none from the same people when using the Surge. The feel of it is different though at first, almost like it's trying but not doing anything. Love it.

There was a company already making these for Milwaukee, Dewalt and Bosch(I think, maybe Makita). The website is gone now. If you search for "losgatos adapter" it should pop up. Wish I would've gotten one a long time ago. They looked like quality units and advertised great specs for amp draw.

I agree with Logan and Kato. My wife likes a much softer mattress than I do so our sleep number has been great for us. Longer warranty than almost any other mattress and no flipping it either. Totally worth it.

Both of these are right. This is what I did in my tool room. My workbench only has one 4x4 leg in the middle and is supported on the back and sides by 2x4's mounted to the walls. Five 2x4's were use for the frame of each half. Four for the length and one for the ends. For a total of ten 2x4's, one sheet of plywood and one 4x4. Oh, and a piece of 2x6 on the front to help reinforce the 4x4 from being knocked backwards.. I used random cabinets bought from the Habitat store for storage. It's more than sturdy enough to handle anything you can physically lift high enough to put on it. I weigh just under 200lbs and had no problem walking on it to install the upper cabinets. I wouldn't put heavy machinery on it though. Also, lateral file cabinets are great for storage. They can handle a good amount of weight in the drawers and can be locked if you feel the need. Craigslist is (sometimes) a great place to pick these up for cheap, got mine for free.

I ditch the cases right off (somehow Habitat can sell them), using a Milwaukee job box instead. I have 5 separate ones for different tools. M18 (mostly) drills/impacts, M18 saws, M18 lights, M12 tools, and one for M18 batteries. This is three of them. Maybe I'll make a bluetooth boom box out of my next case though, saw a video of one done with a Stanley organizer.....

I have power tools from several major companies and have had no real problems with any of them. I believe this is due to proper tool usage and maintenance. Whether it's tools, guns or vehicles, proper care will almost always result in longer life. Once you get in the habit of doing this you become more efficient and the time it takes to maintain tools is no problem. JMHO

Recently did this for my batteries. Just a Milwaukee box with Kaisen foam insert and fast charger mounted inside lid. Not the prettiest job but only spent about 45min doing it.

I've used the Milwaukee quite a bit recently rebuilding a wood fence, framing a couple walls, and a lot of trim work. Love the portability and power (for cordless) but the sawdust bag is almost worthless. It's nice not having to pay attention to which circuit you plug into to avoid tripping a breaker or unspooling a 50' 10ga extension cord. With a 9ah battery you can get through most projects on one battery. Glad I went with a 10", better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Would like to see a m18 inflator/air compressor able to inflate large truck tires or an auxiliary 5gal air tank to 125psi. Would be great if it had adjustable pressure regulator with auto shut -off. Since they seem to be on a kick with lights: how 'bout their rolling tool bag with integrated flood light? I'm on the trim router band wagon as well.

I have the impulse driver and love it. I mainly got it for using in resident's units due to the noise reduction. Much quieter than my impact. It did get a little warm when installing about 300sqft of sub flooring but never missed a beat.

I'll probably get the new Milwaukee speaker. Wish it had a rafter hook though....

Although a bit time consuming, I record all my tools and batteries with serial numbers on Milwaukee's website. This was proof enough for Cash America when I found my impact there because it showed the date I entered it (almost 2yrs prior). This doesn't help discourage theft, only helps a little with recovery. I like the idea of painting inside the vent holes. It's a little more discreet than fluorescent spray paint. Maybe I'll add some bling and use Milwaukee's gold marker (lol)........
