You guys do realize that the Dewalt did not have a large assortment of hand-tools until they merged withe Stanley. Once it became Stanely-Black and Decker Dewalt hand tools flooded the market. If you buy a Dewalt hand-tool, you are basically buying a stanely. Nothing wrong with that, but that is why.
PS. This is exactly what pennywise said, but I didn't read his post until after I typed it.

The price point is really high. I special ordered one for a guy about 2 years ago, I want to say it was like $700 bucks. I was suprised when ordering it how much it was.

Well they rolled out new M18 Multi-tool a few months ago, so I would assume that they wont be making a brushless version in a m12 or m18 anytime soon.

Marketing is what marketing is. I prevented lots of unwanted pregnancies with generic rubbers purchased for 50 cents in the gas station shithouse, but Trojan sounds cooler than ValueRide or MiniTarp
Quite simply one of the greatest analogies ever used.

The only one of those that I know is in the states is the Milwaukee Tape Measure deal. The other two are not to my knowledge.
-
The Ryobi will a special buy in all stores(well the vast majority) beginning at the start of may.

I have the brushed M12 Hammer, it is just as light as the Drill/Driver. You can usually score some type of promo with the Hammer Drill too. Just my two cents.
-
We currently have a Dewalt, Stanley fatmax, and Milwaukee wingstacks with this type of promo in my store. I have the Fatmax 25 and 16, even though I love Milwaukee I really cant justified it.

I have a chevy cruze too. It was my first new car purchase and I am only $500 more dollars and I own it free and clear. Figure I would drive it through college. It is not a bad car, not the greatest. I do find myself lusting over a Ram 1500 regular cab.

Some Dewalt hand tools are at THD, like utility knifes, tape measures, and hand saws. Those shouldn't be available at Sears to my knowledge.

Those look exactly like the Hitachi bits that they used to have.

It is home show week in Grand Rapids, so we have lots of vendors and different companies at the Devos Center in Grand Rapids. Don't really know if other cities in Michigan do a Home Show, or they are just using the weekend to sturr(spelling?) up excitement for spring.

Ryobi serves a purpose. When the Drill/Driver Impact Combo was $99 bucks or even $129 we couldnt even keep it in stock. Ryobi serves a purpose and very very rarely ever had any negative feedback about ryobi other than the batteries. But lets be honest with ourselves, thats the problem with all powertools.

Promo is in the store as well. I would go Milwaukee IMO specially with a better promo.

It is hillarious the bullshit prices they say the kits were. SAVE 500 DOLLARS. Why not just put list price: 1,000,000.

If someone paid 500 dollars for this Hammer Drill I know a Nigerian prince who wants to route some money to your bank account.

One word for all types of screws: G-R-K. It says the worldest greatest fasteners and they really are.

Honestly stuff like this has stolen written all over it. Maybe not this one, but anything that is new or unused on craigslist.

Yea HD changed how it deals with items on clearance. They got burned really bad when they closed a store in Louisiana for some reason HD inventory store inventory and pricing and online fulfillment don't talk to each other. When HD closed a store in Louisiana there was some super deals on tools and power tools too be had till HD shut it down. I was wondering JoeM is your store clearancing out M18 jig saw bare tools they also were getting rid of the m12 version too it wasn't a great deal though it was like 10 bucks off at most.
Someone probably asked for those items to be turned on in those stores and then they never sold well, so they are getting them out of the store. I had an item get turned on for my store and after the holiday season they turned it off, it went to clearance - a whooping 9 dollars of a the M12 Fuel Impact.
-
Check your local home depot, last time I saw we were selling these saws for $229.00. The clearance isn't online but my mid-volume store had about 10.

Hands down of any nation, The United Kingdom has the best music. I am American, but when I think of the music that I listened to the most, half of the bands are British.
Possibly a new Ryobi Nailer on the Horizon?

Chris knowing that THD has exclusive rights to Ryobi products, may I ask you what you paid? I am assuming that had to charge some type of markup.
