  1. Had about $100.00 in Amazon gift cards from selling my textbook back. Picked these up for my M12 Multi-tool

The Bosch ones are good quality. Some other brands on Amazon like Versa tool have REALLY GOOD RATINGS.....and then you started reading some ratings that say the bits fall apart or even break right at the mounting point. Bosch makes good stuff, so I figure I couldn't go wrong.

Also got another Milwaukee 2.0 battery for $28.00, That new Dewalt Right Angle attachment(first Dewalt item i've purchased) and a package of Bosch multi-material drill bits for my Hammer Drill.

  2. I was driving 6 4 in. GRK R4's (no. 10) (GRK makes the best fastener, IMO) through a 2 x 4 into a 4 x 4 with my M12 and the overload protection kicked on twice for two of the screws. There are some jobs that a 18v are better for, but the M12 does most stuff a DYI would need it for.

  3. Tools in action could take some notes in production quality from Mr. Burgess. He may have the nicest looking videos on the internet, maybe its because it always looks drab in the U.K. but I just like how his videos look :D

  4. They are based in Grand Rapids. I have sold tools to a couple of their testers and the tall guy who is like the "expert" has walked around my department a couple of times. Barnaby was like a local personality on one of our news stations. I guess by saying I don't even know if they have a forum, I am saying that I much prefer Tools in Action.

  5. Ridgid, which we are the warranty center for, and then Dewalts. For some reason, we tend to get a lot of Dewalts back with sticky or defective triggers. Most Ridgid products it is the batteries, which if registered have a life-time swap if they show up as being defective.

  6. For sure. I have sold countless Milwaukee power tools to people who were originally looking at Dewalt. Personally I have the M12 Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Hackzall, and Multi-Tool, and a couple of their hand tools. I think it is great stuff, and very infrequently have people bring the stuff back for warranty work or defects.

  7. Here is how you spin it. Are you gonna use this tool twice a month? or twice a week? If is something you use all the time, invest your money is something that is a little more beefer. Just echoing Conductor

  8. Milwaukee is coming out with hollow shafts as well, saw it on another tool review website. I will be honest, I was disappointed in the feel of the 6 in 1 stubby klein screwdriver I bought. It works well, but the grip feels cheap for a klein product.

  9. This 8V max screw driver seems like a waste, I know its probably shares some components with the gyros, but wouldn't their resources be better off one adding and updating the 12v and 20v max lines. I would love to see the table saw miter saw combo's they sell overseas. I wonder if its an regulatory safety issue is the problem with them not being offered here. http://www.dewalt.co.uk/powertools/productoverview/hierarchy/51/

    WOW those boggle my mind.

  10. Thanks for the heads up, definitely didn't notice those batteries wouldn't work!

I'll definitely check out the ones you suggested.  How do you get the 3rd battery free for the Milwaukee drills?  I'm checking them out now, but don't see any mention on the Home Depot website?

Its an instant promotion in store. Assuming your are U.S.A

  11. That Ridgid you posted are a coupling of two X3 drills with an X4(hyper Lithium Ion battery). It is basically a mismatch kit, that only comes with one battery. If you were gonna go the route of Ridgid I would suggest spending the extra $50 dollars and getting this kit. It is the newest from Ridgid, it has two batteries and a free radio. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-X4-Hyper-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Drill-and-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-3-Tool-with-Radio-R9601/203810442#.UbdagcqC2Ws. I can only speak for Home Depot products, but that Bosch would be a hell of a deal.......if it had two batteries. There are plenty of options for drill kits with two batteries for around $150.00 I know we have a Milwaukee, Ridgid, and Makita drill-drivers for around that price. I also know Lowes has similar prices on Bosch's and Hitachi's. I'm trying my hardest not to be a typing billboard from HD, but even for $169.00 right now you can get a Milwaukee Drill/Driver with two batteries and instantly get a free third battery. I think those are some better options for you personally, where ever you buy it, DON'T settle for a one battery kit.

  12. Thats right it takes time to release things, thats why DeWalt makes the best tools, they take time. :)

Only real reason Dewalt expanded into storage and hand tools is because they merged with Stanley to form Stanley-Black and Decker :D Sorry, its just hard to justify some of the Dewalt hand tool and Storage prices when I know its a Stanley.
