  1. Just to chime in, I'm also looking for a compressor and have my eye on the Makita MAC 2400. $299. It's a small portable unit but what I really like is, it's quite! It can be running and you can hold a conversation. I looked at the Ridgid Tri Stack, and although it looks cool, it got bad reviews.

Sold a friend of mine who is a granite layer that Ridgid Tri-Stack, it just doesn't hold up very well under frequent use. The only time I saw that Makita compressor is when a guy returned it un-opened as a gift he got for christmas and bought a PC Compressor and new Drill instead stating "he didnt need a compressor that was that expensive."

  2. All Dewalt hand-tools at THD have a lifetime warranty and are supposed to be treated just like a Husky warranty. In fact, Home Depot no longer carries Husky tape measures for this reason as all the Dewalt tape measures are exchangeable in store. That is the company line, your success at each store may be limit as change is slow and most people won't be aware of this.

  3. Unfourtantely not :/ I am moving to Flooring(I've sold three Ridgid wet saws of different sizes already in a week). My last customer I helped at the end of my last shift I sold a Milwaukee Fuel Hammer and Impact Combo(my fifth of the week) with a free Sawzall to a kid whose dad was buying it for him as a gift, was a good one to go out on.

  4. Makita is expanding their Impact Gold line(at least in HD stores). The next thing will be double-sided impact bits(both ends are phillips and both ends will fit in your impact). I just moved to a different department, but one of the last new items I got was a huge box full of new Makita bits.

  5. ToolBoxbuzz, is a media machine.  They give awards to whoever advertises with them or pays them.  I agree with you DR99 the Scanner review was very misleading, he seems to be the  only one on the planet that had a good experience with that unit.  Even in his video you can see the unit was acting up showing power in a stud.  Then they give it an award? lol even DeWALT pulled it  It's really a shame people misleading the consumer for profit.  But hey thats America, even the president lies.   Thats why I love TIA  no bullshit!

Dewalt stopped making the videos with the German guy and the test on the drills. They were so rigged it was hillarious. "Az you kan zee dat za Milwaukkeee ist not az gut az the Devalt"

  6. I don't if you guys like my information, but I tell you guys what I know. The Windshield wipers were brought in for the RTV Antifreeze and Windshield cleaning product season. Word on the street(it is going to happen) is most HDs are gonna be getting a automotive section.

I know in my department(store) they are moving Generators into the Garden department and filling the space with Automotive. It will be two bays, which is about 16 ft of product.

  7. Im sure theres money to be made on a deal like this if someone buys these to resell, probably get the most if sold the items separately

I would have bought them out and then sold the rest on eBay.

I've seen a lot of the HDs black friday specials on ebay already. The Screwdriver/Impact combo that was $99 is trying to be sold for around $130 I think I saw.

After trying to get 2 home depots to accept a harbor freight 25% off coupon and failing, they said I could get $25 off my purchase if I signed up for a credit card so I did

It was irritating because I have successfully used that harbor freight coupon before but it seems every hd is different

I never accept a Harbor Freight Coupon, we accept Lowes and Menards promos without blinking an eye. I would just tell you can not get a similar product at Harbor Freight than you can get at HD, Lowes, or heck in most cases Menards.

What is the regular price 129.99?

Yes the regular price is $129.99, most stores did not carry this as a "Core" or regular item, it was brought in just for the gift centers.

The drill and impact were on sale for 99 recently.

That was the Screwdriver and Impact, the Drill/Driver and Impact has been holding firm at about $159

  8. I think its a perfect size. Looks like a tiny guitar amp. Bluetooth is awesom. Clean looking. I want it! Wonder how much it will be?

Educated guess between $149.00 to $179.00. Their regular radio sells for $119, so i say it is safe to add 50 bucks at least to the overall price tag for the inclusion of the charger.

  9. Gaining market share right there.....................although I'm not sure if it is because of this video(lol) people have been buying a lot more Makita stuff lately. It doesn't have the features or bells and whistles that the Dewalt and Milwaukee stuff does, but more and more people seem to be scooping up the makita tools.

  10. Multiple things could have made it $50 dollars. Was bought a HD that regualarly carries that product and return to one that doesn't(this sometimes brings up clearance SKUs) Or the Tool was an abosolute DOG of a cellar and they are driving to phase it out of that store. I've never seen that Drill in any of my local HDs, so my assumption is someone thought there was a market for it at that store and they were wrong.
