KnarlyCarl Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 He usually does his videos by himself but these"Tools on Tap" series are more like Dan and Eric, plus they're having a beer while they're at it ... Dewalt 8-1/4" cordless table saw blade: . 1 Quote
JimboS1ice Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 He had a good one on issues with the Bosch reax saw 1 Quote
Bremon Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 Good videos. Enjoy the beer talk as well. Robillard seems to be all over the place these days, turning into a tool media empire . I like that he's quite well-spoken, he also seems like he has a lot of fun with it like Eric and Dan. Tools might help make you money, or save you money, but they don't have to be serious business all the time. 1 Quote
Craigh9916 Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I do subscribe to his channel and I like his reviews but the tools on tap thing I'm not a fan so far it just doesn't seem natural when it's being filmed not like tools in action ! Maybe it will come with time but I feel the tools on tap is only there to compete with tools in action in the humour stakes ? Quote
Bremon Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 Very well could be Craig. TIA doesn't seem to have many imitators in the "read the box, give impressions, laugh and joke around" schtick which seems to be what tools on tap is. I welcome more laid back videos like this. These types, and the well-done hands on type videos are all I need. The glorified PR run-tests that constantly praise the product and mug the camera aren't as great if they can't also call out a products flaws. FWIW I also feel 8.25 isn't ideal for a table saw but *shrug* what do I know. Quote
