Bremon
Hey crew, just looking at reviews on this now that there are deals to be had on it thanks to FlexVolt. Some reviews mention more power than previous Fuel grinders, have any of you heard anything to that effect? I thought it was basically identical; they're all 8500 rpm etc. I think this thing is outmatched by the FlexVolt but it does have similar features; brake for discs and clutch for binds. Also interesting is I've seen mentioned that the tool-less disc-change nut is compatible with prior models. Anyone with experience please chime in with your opinions, especially on power. jeffmcmillan
Every grinder* is 5/8-11 and I've switched nuts between grinders when some idiot loses one. Plus I thought they said in the demo that the nut was compatible with most grinders. *I know there are some oddball grinders with strange arbor sizes but I don't know of any recent one.
JimboS1ice
Don't think it's more powerful, Makita did it too they just added safety features to it, flex volt has a brake on it too right?JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bremon
Ah good to kno Jeff. I thought they may had made it somewhat proprietary to try and get more money out of us.
Bremon
That's right Jimbo, FlexVolt has the brake and clutch as well.
KnarlyCarl
I have yet to see the fuel with a new 9.0 on it to see how it compares to the fkexvolt.... It's not going to be of any consequence, but I am curious
Bremon
I think the biggest factor will be less overheating of the battery. That seams to be the first thing to happen when you lean on the Fuel grinders, rather than stalling them out lol.
