Dewalt toughsystem 2.0 radio switches off by itself

Basically my radio now when just with the battery in comes up with a message as soon as it switches on indicating it’s too cold even though it’s not, it then goes onto switching off 30-60 seconds later! When I have it plugged in the message still pops up but forces it to stay on. The message comes up only when a battery is inside, any ideas what I can do to fix this?
