Conductor562
Not Really an article, but here's a 1931 Craftsman Power Tool Catalog for your enjoyment. The Craftsman name itself was first used by Sears in 1927 and the first power tools were offered in 1929 making this the 3rd Power Tool production year.craftsman1931.pdf
Conductor562
I've never shared a PDF on here before, so someone be sure and tell me if it works for you
ChrisK
Hey Travis, I tried looking but my iPad screamed warning at me and the screen was red. Could be my security settings though. I'll try again later this am!
djslater
I just downloaded this successfully...it's pretty amazing. Someone commented in another thread how the prices on tools from back in the day aren't that much different from today, and this catalog is a pretty good example! The difference is that stuff was made with U.S. Steel!!!
Conductor562
You're right DJ and I believe it was me that was talking about that. I've got a bunch of catalogs that start in the late 1800's. Several Craftsman, Snap-On, Plomb/Proto, and a few others as well. I may go ahead and create a new section for this stuff. Kato
I'm always fascinated seeing old commercials, old magazines, etc., that catalog is cool!!
Conductor562
19 downloads in 1 day is more than I expected.
Atlas2000
Worked great for me. I'm sure they were built to last, but I would fear for my fingers and possible electrocution! Cool to see though.
Poisonfangs85
That is awesome! Love looking through these vintage catalogs. Do you think Anyone will price match?
