Harold Wray
Wow that's old. Is that from Thomas Edison's house? What did they use for phones, two tin cans with string.
Conductor562
I helped do some work in a building build in the early 30's that still had the original fuse box. Looked similar to that.
regopit
My electrician likes to call them fire starters because people like to put penny's in them. I come across them when I work in the old row homes in Baltimore city.
Conductor562
I imagine older cities like Baltimore, Boston, etc. probably still have a bunch hiding somewhere.
DR99
i can't imagine what a service change costs in the big cities! They are already expensive enough in the suburbs. It's a few grand either way
yamatitan
i can't imagine what a service change costs in the big cities! They are already expensive enough in the suburbs. It's a few grand either way We really dont make much on a couple grand service call. I Typically have 1500 in material and labor on a 200 amp service change not including insurance, gas, wear and tear on vehicles and tools, etc.
