Altan Posted October 14, 2022 Report Share Posted October 14, 2022 It seems DeWALT has discontinued their one-piece construction 1/4" hex shank drill bits as you don't see them in their new catalogue. In the past they did produce them in black coating (Made in Germany), then they started to produce them in China with golden TiN coating, then they reduced the coating only on the drill part and not on the hex shank, and now they started to make smaller sizes as plugged version (not one-piece construction), I wonder what the quality would be after 10 years if they keep reducing it like this!
