Mtips18
I was using my impact driver to drive 12 inch lags and the adapater from the 1/4 inch hex quick release to the socket broke. It broke pretty much flush with the tip and slightly twisted locking it in place. I have no idea how to get it out with out taking apart the tool which I would like to avoid if possiable. Any thoughts on this topic would be great. Thanks
kanxrus
You might try using a magnet, or a pick to get it high enough to pull out. Worst case scenario, you will have to take the 1/4" quick connect adapter apart. In the future you may consider some impact accessories.
Mtips18
Any tips on taking apart the chuck?I have never done it before
kanxrus
There is a retaining ring on the front of the adapter. Remove the ring and that will separate all the parts from the anvil shaft. Just be careful not to lose the ball bearing.
