DWalter
All the 12v Max tools, use a sealed can motor that does not have serviceable brushes. The entire motor can be replaced as a unit for about $15. This is standard in this category of tool; even Festool's 10.8 v driver uses a non serviceable PMDC motor. Jumpstat
Looking at the motor, its kinda like the stock motors in the RC cars. Its definitely non serviceable and needs to replace whole motor if worn out.
Trax
Hi guys, I have DCD710 with a worn-out motor, I was wondering where I can purchase a new RS-550VC-815 motor in Australia, and what should the rough cost be?
missiondan
i own a pair of these the other drill is the impact driver, i dont rate them compared to the rest of the market, the cheaper hitachi lithium models have more torque and a longer battery life. we ran them both together over a few weeks when they were first released in the uk. shame as we were eagerly awaiting but found them dissapointing compared to rival tools
