topshelf
Heya All! Today while working on a project, after finishing a cut I set my saw down, confirmed some measurements, then got set to make my next cut and the saw refused to start. checked all electrical connections, plugs and breakers. I was using a 75' heavy guage extension cord. Is there possibly an internal thermal breaker that I need to wait for to reset? I'm stumped and somewhat frustrated. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Mike.
kanxrus
Their is no thermal breaker on the DW359. Have you wiggled the cord while holding down the trigger? You may have a short? Next I would check the brushes. See if the retention spring came loose, or they may be worn down.
topshelf
Thank you. It was in fact the brushes. Now I get to track those down. Thanks again! Mike.
kanxrus
Those will be easy to find online. Either direct from Dewalt, or Ereplacmentparts.com.
