housedady Posted September 6, 2012 Report Share Posted September 6, 2012 I bought my father-in-law a laser guide attachment for his compound miter saw. The package arrived and said that it will only work on DW715, 716 and 718. It further listed some models that it would NOT work with and my father-in-laws saw is on the list it will not work with. Now I've scoured the web looking for a laser guide attachment for a 705 and am not having any luck. Does this mean that they just don't even make one for this model? Any help would be appreciated. dale1393434551 Posted September 8, 2012 Report Share Posted September 8, 2012 No OEM laser available but you can get aftermarket ones that go on the arbor shaft. Picked mine up years ago at a woodworking show. Basically it turns on and off from centrifical force as the saw starts and stops. Works fine for indoors but hard to see outside on bright day.
