Darrell
Would like to know if anyone has any idea how long a person should run this demolition hammer before servicing the unit or any literature about this hammer. Hate to take it in when I can do the work myself.
kjones
Use it until something fails. It has pop off brushes, so they will automatically pop off and stop the unit frm working before any damage is done to the armature. Grease the bit shanks now and then, check the cord and exterior of the tool for obvious damage, but other than that just use it. You can google search the model number for the owners manual, or look it up on DeWALT service net for a parts explosion of the tool.
Darrell
Thanks for the input. I have already done the items you have mentioned but I am interested in the disassemble of the nose and quick disconnect end. I generally do a service on all of my tools and equipment so it sounds like I should buy a service manual if there is one available. I have replaced a couple of the O-rings on the ram and piston but everything else seems fine. Any thoughts on the grease and oil for this unit? kjones
Look it up on DeWALT service net. Full parts explosion, breakdown, ordering, etc.
