KRK
Anyone have/had this unit? I picked one up on black friday cheap and have not set it up yet. Thoughts? ETA: I read that the supplied blade is shitty, so I picked up some good DeWALT ones to replace it with.
RickyMcGrath
116 Reviews, 4.5 stars. It appears to me a great little saw. Kobalt makes some good stuff. I had their 10" and really liked it. I just had to upgrade to 12" and went with DeWalt
DR99
Yea, I have to agree with Ricky it seems to get talked about well every where I go. Except for the blade problem which is nothing to worry about. It seems like a nice little saw for punch list items. It's the best option till we see some cordless miter saws get released.
madman_us
ya reviews on that saw are pretty good. give it a try and when you don't like it, you can still return it
KRK
Thanks! I did take it out of the box today, didn't monkey with it since I had family obligations. Maybe tomorrow.... I will probably just end up bolting it to the hood of my truck for convenience!
comp56
I've heard nice little saw.....
RickyMcGrath
Kobalt is great if your Lowes really honors the "Hassle Free Warranty." Some like to give you a hard time.
KRK
I know it's been sometime since I updated the thread but, I fully intend on setting this up and changing the blade tomorrow. I'll have to take my time since my back is shot but I look forward to using this on some small projects.
chadlanthier
You will have to keep us informed. Kobalt is not a bad brand, just kind of up and coming still. At least in comparison to some of the other companies.
BK13
Yeah, curious about this one as well. I imagine it would fulfill my immediate needs (replacing trim around the house) and be a whole lot cheaper than the 12" Bosch glide saw that I really want...
