Fish30114
My father is downsizing his home and has offered to give me his Homecraft/Delta/Rockwell drill press. It is a floor model and has a model # AF 2476. I would welcome any info on this press, I had my eyes on a Powermatic 2800B press by the way. Thanks for any feedback--Don
chadlanthier
I've never personally never used the drill. That being said a free drill press is better then one u have to pay for. Even if it last long enough for u to get the hang of it. Welcome to the forum fish.
Conductor562
Do you know about what time period the press is from?
Fish30114
All I know for sure is that is was made prior to the early 80's. My Pop's got it from a guy at church who had had it a 'long time' so I'm not sure when it may have been made, perhaps as early as the late 60's. Conductor562
If it's anything like the old Delta-Rockwell stuff I've seen over the years, it's probably a pretty decent press. Can't beat the price either!
NERemodeling
I would say go for it.. free is free! that old stuff is built solid and it will probably serve you well for many more years.
