Poisonfangs85
I had made a longer post with the whole story and my phone erased it. Here's the short version.Trimmed out my bathroom last month. Sunday night the wife tells me the garage ceiling is wet. A few holes later found the location of the water leak. Shut water main off and called my plumber. A few more holes and found the problem. I had shot the pipe with a trim nail!Oops!!!Now I hung it on my compressor perch so I remember how bad this hurt.

Poisonfangs85
Nail plates were installed (I was hoping to get my plumber for not putting them in, but he wouldn't miss something like that). I shot too high, trying to work around my vanity legs. I'm laughing about it now, I think the laughter will stop once I get the call about the bill. regopit
You are not not first person or the last person to do that.
Poisonfangs85
As long as I'm the last person to do it in my house I'm fine. I have seen it on the job several times but there is usually a plumber near by.

Poisonfangs85
Thanks John, I think I could write a book on this one. And if I did it would be titled "If these walls could talk...I would need ear plugs!"
NERemodeling
Haha! that could be a good read
regopit
A screw in the water line is the only thing that could make this story any better
Poisonfangs85
A screw in the water line is the only thing that could make this story any betterAre you not allowed to run your waterline through a 1900 box? Lol it's amazing the stuff we find I've got pictures and stories for days!
chadlanthier
I've shot a nail through a line before, then second guessed myself through the whole remodel. Took down a whole bunch a of log siding I put up just to make sure, there was no other spots.
