StrippedScrew
I decided to take on an oldish style entertainment unit and put my limited knowledge to work. I didn't take many pics of the project unfortunately C&C welcome.
chewie17
nice work, are you going to have a glass insert for the doors at the top? the wedge shape design is different. I would assume its going into a corner?

chewie17
I don't normally use dadoes... I usually use pocket holes when I can, or I just counter sink screws and let them show (only for my own projects) any stain or just natural? Was gonna stain it but I decided to try out Danish oil and it worked out pretty good.
chewie17
natural looks great anyways. I love the look of cherry or a red-ish stain. everyone has their own preference and yours worked well!
bothuhead19
Very nice, dadoes are something I haven't tried out yet with joinery. Like Chewie I try to use pocket screws, just seems easier to me but I'm just a noob. Good job though, keep the projects rolling!

Yeah dados are really not that hard the setting up takes the longest as I was using a router with a 12mm bit, I was making 18mm dados so multiply times I had to postilion the guide. If I do more of this type of projects I will be investing in a Festool 1400EQ
