Thanks for the feed back guys just went in tonight to look a little closer and turns out the large medium and small are $99, $59, and $39 respectively so I'm not sure I wanna spend all that on them all. I just saw these at the local HD in Canada here and was wondering since they are about $100 cheaper than the dewalt counterparts, how much can you actually fit into the large, medium, and small boxes respectively? I have a circ saw, recip saw, jigsaw, drills, OMT screwdrivers, hammers, chisels, pretty well anything you can think of. I have a Milwaukee 26" toolbox now and have the majority of tools I need most days but I could always keep some more in an easier way to move them as well. any thoughts would be appreciated thanks!

I set up my dewalt box with kreg screws and plugs but it is the smaller box so there wasn't that much room. I don't use pocket screws all that often but at least I've got them when I do. I've been seriously looking at the ridgid cart system for the past month, its actually got some neat stuff in it for storage and I think for my job it would be great to carry everything I would need in a regular job on one stand Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

I have used about 4 of their tapes, I prefer the straight 16'. I have one get a knick on the blade and after continued use it finally ripped off one day. That's the worst I've had happen. I love their finger saver thing under the tape. The older version tape. My next go to is a kobalt 16' its small and compact and easy to read with a similar fibre blade on it which is less reflective and easy to read. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

i would put a 9.0 in a fuel skilsaw, or the sawzall, I don't have either tool yet but if I was going to get them I would buy a 9.0 for them. I have 2 2.0 and 1 5.0 for my fuel impact and drill I use the 5.0 in my drill for when I need a bucket of 20 minute drywall mud or a bucket of tile glue... I can mix about 5 buckets worth on a full charge which is a lot better than the 2 I get with the 2.0 ones. the 9.0 would mix any bucket I needed in a day but if I mix more than 5 buckets I would pull out the cord and a mixer drill. I like the cordless for quick use, where I need to go from mixing a bucket to drilling holes for drains or vents. and even plumbing. the 5.0 lasts me a week with a full charge most cases. so going to the 9.0 for me right now would be pointless. however, the circ saw or recip saw would be able to make the choice easier on the 9.0

Depends on what you do by trade, but I would love to learn to weld, get a better education in carpentry (just starting to get into it now) and I would love to learn how work with metal better aside from the welding part. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

I have the bosch 12v drill and driver right now, I was liking the looks of these makitas, but they aren't much more compact are they? would the switch be worth while? probably not at this point...

Here we go, been keeping my eye on the makita and Milwaukee but I have no makita stuff yet. The Milwaukee just came out so I'm hesitant to spend the money on the first model.... Now this with brushless makes me feel like I really should wait to see if Milwaukee switches their to either brushless or fuel on their next model. It's not a tool I need right away since I have the makita corded version but it is a handy tool to be cordless for the one off uses Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

I bought a dewalt pouch, I've bought stuff from Lowes and I padded belt I put suspenders on mine because I don't use it all that often and I don't have any girth to keep the belt where I like it. But all in all I use a drill holster instead of a separate hammer holster since I use a drill alot too. I like the one big bag with the 2 smaller attached to the lip so you have 3 pockets of screws/nails. But then padded belt was my best investment Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

I was looking at the same set and it looks like a good buy, I would use it for finish nailers, the inflate of tires, and absent framing. It would be lucky to see a shingle roof now that I've done steel roofs. The other model I was looking at was a home depot brand "California tools" I believe it is. And it's their 10 gallon compressor. It's way better suited for my needs and not much more money. I've got an old light stand that is nice and bright but throws heat like the sun. So working with it is sometimes fairly sweaty or humid so those LED's would be a nice investment. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

Good to hear! I'm going to be waiting a while yet for those tools however I'm looking at expanding into makita 18v for woodworking so their planer, biscuit joiner and their sander to start. With the dual charger and using 3ah batteries with hopefully 1 of their bigger packs for that sander but that won't be for a while yet either. Hey guys just picked up the newest job site radio, sounds really good. Haven't used it onsite as of yet however it sounds good from the short test I put it through. Good volume and it runs off AC or battery, I can't remember if it charges batteries or not. But here's the pic of it I also picked up a 5.0 battery for $89 plus tax on a price match which was really sweet hope to get alot of use out of these 2 and in the near future either the fuel circ saw or the new fuel hammerdrill either kit or bare tool. These dewalt drills are short in length so to me I classify them as compact. I also look at brushless all being on the same level. So I would compare it to the fuel gen 2 because its their top end models no? Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

I just researches the uwo numbers and i see why they do it but I like to know max torque and rpm rather than the uwo. That's the way I can compare what I have used and what I haven't. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
