  1. I hate when they come out with the weird torque numbers. I assume it's up around where the gen2 fuel is? And the makita Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  2. What's the specs of the drill? Torque and rpm Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  3. any tool chest you buy must be the right one for your needs, I always look at drawer depth to make sure screw drivers will fit in drawers I want them in and other hand tools in the other drawers. I bought one from walmart 2 years ago as my first one because it was under $100 right in my budget and came with a basic set of ratchets and such. however the box sucks and ive been looking to upgrade drastically right to the Milwaukee tool chest however the price point is still out of reach but I don't really want to waste my money on something I wont like anyways. so as long as it fits your needs than that chest should be right for you. if its your first one, you will definitely figure out what you want and don't want in a box.
  4. It's a shame cause I bet I could get it shipped to here for cheaper at that price Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  5. That's not the Canadian price though is it? Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  6. I wish I could get one for $700..... just checked out the local store. it is $570 for the bottom and $450 for the top...
  7. this battle could go on for years but its all preference. I personally like my Milwaukee stuff. my boss has the dewalt drill. the only thing I can say is that they are each good at their own thing. so depending on what you want to use it for. if its just screws than either is great, the Milwaukee is heavier I find but I think its better quality. I would love to have dewalts framing nailer because it is a beast, but I have Milwaukee stuff already and I wish milwaukee would come out with something just as good
  8. Bit of a bang up lol might be trading it in soon for something new Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the tip I'm still just thinking about the project but my truck got into some issues and I might end up going for a newer one Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  10. it would be a combo of frame and trim. the gas part isn't necassry however I figured I would need it to be able to get the CFM I wanted... I have not looked into the rolair or California however I want it a certain size to fit under the toolbox I have on my cap so I figured custom was the easiest way
  11. well than an auxillery tank is easiest ?
  12. no pictures no videos just a question about a guy who likes the compactness of a pneumatic nailer and is having a hard time finding the right compressor for it.... what if a guy was to make a compressor to be fit inside the bed of the truck, run off the gas tank from the truck, have a high PSI tank of around 150-175, and the guy has a truck cap installed? has anyone seen this or heard of it? I had the idea because sometimes the air compressor inside the house is noisy, a pain to bring in and out if the truck and most of the time its just in the way... I was thinking of a 12-16 gallon tank, that has a CFM of around 6+ @125 PSI and have it fully plumbed so the air hose is on a reel, the exhaust goes outside the truck and the tank drain goes straight outside...
  13. I'm not collecting them for fast money or anything but I am looking to get full sets so I can be proud of my set is all. Would be pretty crazy to have 150 k of them but I know I won't stop getting them Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  14. anyone else enjoying collecting these tims cards? im a big fan of collecting cards sometimes it comes in waves and this is a big one right now... I have close to 1500 cards (give or take a few) and for this season 2015-16 I am aiming on collecting every single card so I have an absolutely complete set since tims are giving away cards for this season I need to collect all of them in order to have a full set right? childish it may be but its something I enjoy aside from tools and woodwork.
  15. Great tag, and great idea. Looks like a good design too. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  16. great post fletcher, hopefully the kid sticks with it and becomes a valuable tradesperson. with some guidance and youtube he can do wonders. im almost completely self taught on the fine woodworking skills and the basic construction of things came from my dad and uncle so they gave me a basic set of skills that I improved upon on my own with research. looking forward to seeing the results!
  17. so I finally got to use my porter cable OMT for longer than a few test cuts, and I am curious to know if they all get rather warm after about 30-90 second burst and cool down periods of around 3 minutes... I found it was getting hot right around the exhaust vents at the top. other than that it worked wonders! love the tool-less blade change and glad I made the change from the jobmax I was using previous.
  18. well I was going to update my Makita ROS with the old version but it may have to old off until this new one comes to Canada..... great find thanks for the link!
  19. I'm all over the place my pants pockets are keeper of all. I have a small master craft clip pouch I use for screws. Holds about 200 or so for assembly which is more than I ever need. But I have the worst habit of setting a tool down and forgetting where I put it. Good thread looking forward to more answers. I think most will say they are just as unorganized while they work Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  20. I had a college teacher that used a stilleto.... He had the one with the changeable face it had a side nail puller, light weight and that's about it.... I have an estwing and I also have a side nail puller and its still fairly light so I don't see why I would spend that much on a stilleto Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  21. As a general contractor we keep a bunch of caulking screws and double sets of most tools just in case we are working on separate jobs or something like that. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  22. There's a few youtubers that have done it. She is one of them I'm 95% sure Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk
  23. love that idea... going to look into doing that in my garage soon
  24. well I have used the 12v ridgid OMT and I find that it lacks power.... im not sure what the M12 is like but I did buy the porter cable corded and find the power is definitely there.... not sure if this helps but if you want an OMT my best advice is get just that not the Jobmax
  25. well that could be taken the wrong way.... hahaha these screws however would most likely be used for landscape ties. multi layered stuff that you want to keep true and flush all the way. ive used 8" at the longest and my gen. 1 Fuel did the job very well near the end it slowed a bit but hey I only sank about 8 screws so id say you would need about 8 2Ah batteries? right in line with the 20Ah's given earlier...
