Need help, the other day my battery (P 108) stopped working, I've disarmed and found a diode that had exploded. Replace it and returned to work. But when I saw the voltage on the tester had 20.2v between negative and positive (as seen in the photos) and 20.2v between the center and positive. I have taken the voltage in P107 and values are 8.2V. P108 battery has someone? and you tell me that voltage is between positive and negative please.

An 18V battery has 5 (or 5 pairs) of lithium ion cells in series with nominal 3.6V each adding up to 18V.  The voltage without load, however, can be higher such as 4V which can result in the battery appearing to be charged to 20V or more.  This is why Dewalt markets their newer 18V tools at 20V tools.

Whoops, I misunderstood which pictures were which batteries.

What is the P107 voltage between negative and positive?  The center is probably a control voltage that would likely vary between different model batteries so the charger can distinguish between them.  Unfortunately I don't actually own any newer Ryobi tools so I can't tell you what the voltage should be.

For the P107 (1.5 Ah) have 8.2v between negative and Positive but in the other model P108 (4Ah) have 20v, i need know if is normal the difference between both models of batteries.
