kruton
The thermostat in our house is located in the only good place to put the tv. The tv puts off enough heat to affect the thermostat. I was going to relocate the thermostat but got to looking into wireless units. I thought this would give us a lot of flexibility in placement. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them and what brands. I have been researching the Honeywell units so far.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
JerryNY
I think with Honeywell you can use the current location and add a comfort remote and use it as the thermostat for wherever it is. Not sure what models work with it though. I have a wifi Honeywell and it works great but I have it in a good location and don't need a remote. That way you can just use the old wiring and add on a remote for the other room.

It would be a lot easier than having to install the unit next to the furnace and having to rewire it. Thanks for the info.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

JerryNY
Wireless is all fine and good but it's always the interface between the wired and wireless that's the tricky part
kruton
I think convincing my wife to move the tv and rearrange the living room might be an easier solution!Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
