Dmcgowan
My table saw fence has gotten very difficult to move. So much so that the knob broke. I'm not sure what is causing this or how to fix it. Anyone know where I can see how to get the assembly apart and clean it out or other issues that may be causing the problem. Thanks Dennis
Jronman
maybe the track got out of line or a gear jumped a tooth?
Framer joe
It's probably full of crap in the rear and front track ...you gotta blow out both tracks
Hugh Jass
I lubricate all my moving fence parts with turbine oil. Given how free mine is it's likely you may have racked your fence causing it to bind with friction. But given how simple the travel design actually is I have a hard time seeing how it could be that bad.
Mordekyle
Mine was really hard to move- after someone borrowed it.It turns out there's a lock and a knob to move the fence. No Allen wrench needed.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dmcgowan
Thanks for all the responses. I took the track off and cleaned it out. What I found on the inside of the front track is that the locking mechanism was remaining on the track while it was disengaged causing it to bind up. Anyways, thanks again.
