  1. Here is the link to Toolup from Jets site. Interesting they list it as Powermatic though truthfully they are manufactured similarly.... http://www.toolup.com/Powermatic-737000WK-Router-Lift-with-MDF-Table-Kit http://www.toolup.com/Powermatic-737000CK-Router-Lift-with-Cast-Table-Kit Here is the direct site list... http://www.jettools.com/us/en/p/router-lift-with-mdf-table-kit/737000WK
  2. Hahahahahaha you sound so cute.....The Festool one is 1700 and ONLY fits Festool OF1400 and 1010!!
  3. Dude, that is the perfect analogy here!
  4. Up until recently really, Festool was primarily and in many case still is a European brand. People bash Festool as being shop tools however they are not shop tools they are specifically designed for construction and carpentry use. At a cost. Mafell is designed for timber work, heavy construction etc. At a cost. Americans are constantly bashing the crud out of these tools rightly wrongly or indifferently and maybe cost is why Mafell is still lagging here with only the one retailer that I know of now. Beats me but the Europeans buys these tools from both manufactures for a load of cash and they seem popular and highly regarded. I can tell you right now, I go and drop $800 on a jigsaw there will be some inflated talk by people wondering why I would do that. But the results speak for themselves. I will tell you that the Festool OF2000, not being sold any longer, is either borrowed from Mafell or the other way around. Just as I said Mafell uses Metabo for cordless drill research and share many design similarities. Ultimately a good half of Festool lineup cannot be purchased here in the USA. And try buying a Mafell cordless drill or some of their other tools here in the USA, assuming you have the cash.....good luck 🤔
  5. Most of my parallel clamps are Jets and K Body Revos. They are both phenomenal clamps and these ones look really nice so I might try to find a couple of 24s I’m short on that department!
  6. I don’t believe so. Mafell’s P1is just a hair under $800 and that is the cheapest saw they make. But that jigsaw is a remarkable machine. I’m already just a wee bit under the mark there, I sold my Carvex and T18 this past week. This machine will be mine. Interesting it appears Toolnut already either lost or dropped their Mafell tools and they must be purchased through Timberwolf tools in Maine.
  7. Welcome aboard dude! Beats me on
  8. I’ve got the narrower mag switch board, absolutely love it.
  9. Well yes and no. I do have and use my 14” Rikon but every once in a while, a jig saw is the tool needed. Particularly for some of the projects I have planned. I will continue to use my Carvex, as it’s a wonderful machine and will not buy the Mafell until I sell both parts mostly because the Mafell is a solid 8 bills with shipping. Selling the Carvex for $375-400 puts me on track to buy the machine using my “special” tool account 😉
  10. Nah, I looked at it prior to buying the Carvex but I believe the Carvex is a solid performer. I want to cut into some really thick material so that is the only reason I’m looking right now.
  11. Welcome to the forums Jay, from a nice warm -3C New Hampshire 🇺🇸 😎
  12. Yeah the Domino and the Duo are two different machines. As is the Lamello. As far as the Powa thing? Yeah, the double thick blades and the full length locking mechanism are certainly something I am looking at. I want to use it on some really thick stock. The Carvex is phenomenal, I like it a lot but I am definitely looking for something that can make the really thick and dense wood cuts. Carvex goes like butter through Maple and Hickory but I’m talking about 8/4 and better stock.
  13. So....this fall I had a problem with one of my 6.0 60v batteries. It stopped accepting a charge. This happened after building a shed foundation. Then I had a really serious medical issue and when I got home this winter, I wrote Dewalt. They asked me for a date stamp. A month later, today actually, I was working on my shop....finally. I found the battery and responded with the date stamp. This is over the course of four months since I discovered it was not working. This is is the response from Dewalt customer service... Hi Chris, Thank you for contacting us. Once again I sincerely apologize. I have sent you a replacement battery DCB606. Please allow 7-10 business days for the battery to arrive. It will be coming by UPS. In case this email does not fully answer your question, or you would like to contact us for any reason, simply reply to this email. Thank you, Angela DEWALT Customer Care Visit us online at http://www.dewalt.com That is AWESOME customer service! THANK YOU DEWALT! This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue with a Dewalt tool but man, that is awesome!
  14. Dude, wait till you use it. It’s slick as snot!
  15. Yeesh, I would rather not do that if at all possible. I want them both gone so I can get my new jigsaw. Sorry dude!!!!!
  16. I’ll be selling my Carvex and the accessory kit soon. I’m saving for a very expensive jig. Keep an eye out on the classifieds, it’ll be the Carvex and the accessory base kit too 👍 Infortunately not a cordless version 😕
  17. So got some great things in the mail today. Also some great news from the AWESOME neurosurgeons at Mass General. I am clear for work, my GP has me still at home with some light duty to follow shortly, but I can pick up my beautiful son finally and start increasing my excercise. Great news because I am going to be putting these gorgeous new tools to use right away. I got two sets of new card scrapers from Lie Nielsen, curved and straight, a burnisher from LN and two GORGEOUS chisels from Blue Spruce Toolworks. This will be a two part order, I ordered a Bench and a Butt edge chisel from Blue Spruce and then next one coming in will be a Dovetail chisel. From LN I have the sharpening jig on the way.also, not pictured is my new PDC from Festool, I’ll post some soon.
  18. Actually I have the Klein.... https://www.zoro.com/klein-tools-screwdriver-handle-adjustable-length-32619/i/G6516557/feature-product?gclid=CjwKCAiA-9rTBRBNEiwAt0Znw1dUAcjLOxurYosH0_YQ10vwZWYYpa80ky5hiHoToQft7nATpddyjhoCli0QAvD_BwE I never use it, it’s great but the bits are loose in my drawer and it’s easier just to grab a Wera
  19. I’ve got a Wera I like a lot. Got the first gen Milwaukee that I’ve had for several years too that is pretty decent.
  20. Welcome to the forums Cody! Just like DR says, keep track of the events. Normally year end or beginning is sales, not really tool releases.
