  1. I’ve got the Veritas and everybody says the LN is better. Grrrrr. That Rabbet plane will do some heavy tenon work for me and I might get a second blade and camber the corners and use it as an extra large smoother. Not holding my little bit for over a month SUCKED. But this weekend we watched some tv and he crawled up in my lap for a hug. Now I can pick the squirt up all day long though truthfully I need to start working out, it’s amazing how weak I still am.
  2. Yup, mine is pretty sweet too. I’ve got three Blue Spruce chisels on the way plus another set of Lie Nielsen scrapers and a burnished on the way. They should all be here on Monday. Still eating on my Jack Rabbet from LN, they said another three weeks of production before they ship ☹️ It’s a phenomenal plane but the guy was telling me they don’t sell very many so don’t keep many in stock. This Christmas everybody bought the Jack Rabbet apparently so Chris waits. It’ll be nice when I’m building my Nicholson. I met with my Neurosurgeons this week and got the approval to go back to being a sergeant and the ability to lift my Son FINALLY! So I can increase my exercise now and that will include some shop time 😄😇🙏👍🤙😜😎 Looks like ill be back to my day job in just a couple of quick weeks! 🏎🚓
  3. And don’t forget that PMV11 is great and my Veritas 4-1/2 has it but A2 has its strengths too.
  4. It won’t, but it from Toolnut, they have a grounded unit that will not fry the motor. https://www.toolnut.com/oneida-axd000009-ultimate-festool-dust-deputy.html Ive been using this for over two years and have not changed a bag on my Midi since. I would love to get one for my 26 but I use that one less than the Midi being it’s for the tracksaw and routers and I tend to use the mitersaw more.
  5. I’ve got the Midi and a CT26. Both are phenomenal machines, I’ve had the midi for about 4 years. I have it hooked up to a dust deputy and has been my primary. No it is attached to the Kapex and that is all I use it for. Fantastic machine.
  6. The big thing to remember is the controls....Stanley Bedrock vs Veritas’ controls. Plus LN is made in Maine, Veritas in Canada. You know you are buying super high quality. Though I am still waiting for my Christmas present my wife ordered me in November 😪 https://www.lie-nielsen.com/product/bench-planes/no.-10-1-4-bench-rabbet-plane?node=4065
  7. Don’t second guess. I have a 4-1/2 Veritas I love. I have a mix of Lie Nielsen and Veritas in my shop. I just sold my LN router plane on eBay for a hefty profit because I like my Veritas router plane better. But I wouldn’t think twice about my two Jacks for LN over Veritas.
  8. Got em both bro! Congratulations, your getting some fantastic craftsman tools
  9. It’s awesome dude, my CXS has one too the only thing I’ll miss is the eccentric chuck
  10. Hey guys, just got the PDC. This is a MINT condition T18+3 set with ALL chucks, two 4.2 batteries and charger. $400 shipped.
  11. Hey guys, up for sale a Makita brushless barrel grip jigsaw with a charger and 1 4.0 battery. This is not available in the USA. Great shape, minimal use. $250 including shipping. Included are extra chip guards some new blades and a systainer.. This is only going to be sold here in the ISA
  12. Hey, I remember when I was a wee lil squirt and Carter was saying we’d be metric likity split. I wish we were metric.
  13. Lie Nielsen bought by some idiot from China that clearly cannot read English. No international shipping. I’m resisting it, if interested pm me as the router plane is re-available.
  14. Seriously?! I don’t think a Kregg Jig will fit in there
  15. I’ve got the Powermatic... http://www.powermatic.com/us/en/p/54hh-jointer-1hp-1ph-115-230v/1791317K Depending on what you are doing and the ability to properly support your piece as your feeding and ejecting it off the tool will really play into what you want. A lot of people buy the table top and do just fine though I have no experience with the Cutech. I built a mobile base for my PM and I can move it throughout the shop. I have not needed the 8” model thus far however I certainly see the benefit of an 8”. Not to sway you one way or the other I can speak to the quality and ability of the PM and it is easy to change the helical blades, the sound is so quiet as oppposed to the straight blade model. Cuts are beautiful as is the finish. And the gold standard looks nice in the shop too. Dust is really not an issue as you’re getting more of a shaving as opposed to fine dust though because of the mobile base and my mobile DC unit it’s taken care or. You can get the Jet version which is basically the same, albeit not as high end (seriously, who cares?) for I think 150-200 less depending on whether you get a 10% sale. It’s a beast to move, my new shop as my old one is a basement shop and it’s a two person job (3 would be better) but a garage shop....no problem. I was told to buy what you can afford on a machine you need. The moral was don’t buy cheap, buy the best you can afford. Chances are, a year or two later you’ll want to get the better one and take a loss on the settled unit. Also, as far as I have heard, Grizzly makes a decent quality machine. Good luck
  16. Sorry Bert, that sucks. I’m glad you got some help
  17. Dude. I thought I had a problem. ive got a number for a great shrink if you’re interested 😬 Seriously though, what you did separates the real men from the non TIA men.
  18. Not sure why but they didn’t design it that way. I had to use my old charger for my 12v tools. I sold the whole lot two months ago. Great tools just too many 🤔
