The tracks have no slip pads on them that work quite well. No need for tracks if you go slow over the track. The TS are tradie tools in the UK and Europe so it should treat you guys well if you don't smash them around ?

Perfectly smooth finished cut with NO dust! A cut on my TS55REQ is not only straight but doesn't need finishing. Plus, my shop is pretty small and man handling a full sheet on the saw isn't something I like to do. My ts was a gift from my wife (then girlfriend) for Christmas. Totally worth it dude. I hook this sucker up to dust collection and there is nothing left to clean and no sanding needed

I use my table saw for smaller cuts Joe. When I bring a sheet of 4x8 down into my shop the first stop is on a piece of insulation and the track saw does the big cuts and then my table saw does all of the cross cuts and dados etc.

Rich, I ordered the large shoulder plane. I'm a big fan of the bulk and control with a second hand on it. I also own the Veritas Bullnose shoulder plane and love it but I got to try the large one out at a class and fell in love with it. I should have it by Monday and will post some pics!

Like you I won't buy it however that is because I bought the HKC55 which acts as a circular saw and a cross cutting saw and a track saw. I kind of had the same thoughts when I was weighing in buying my HKC but after the first time using it they all went away. I use my Tracksaw in the shop and my HKC everywhere else. As far as the rafter hook, I'm not so sure it'd be a deal breaker as it's intended as a tool to be used in coordination with a track on sheet goods, my tracksaw doesn't have one either. My HKC could benefit with one as it fills three roles but meh....it does such a nice job I'm ducky

How are you liking the PDC?

So I was thinking you were using the cyclone kit with the Festool, is that accurate? I've been using my Midi with the cyclone for a year now and haven't changed the bag since. It's an awesome addition and is placed on my Midi with the Kapex.

I reuse mine too, I have only swappped out one bag
