  1. Dude. You poor son of a gun. Never start a post off this way! Next thing you know.....your going to be knee deep in every colored brand of every tool line and your wife have your wallet permanently filled with epoxy. Oh.....welcome to the forum fellow glutton for punishment!!!!!
  2. Dude. No you didn't. Never admit tool defeat to your wife!
  3. Nice Rich! That's is a really great Router
  4. Check you local CL. Barn wood is really super over priced but can be found occasionally. Also try doing it yourself. You can age wood with vinegar and steel wool, distress wood with a hammer and chain and use a small plumbers torch.
  5. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts bro!
  6. Pretty slick Comp! Have you given it a trial run yet?
  7. FINALLY!!!!!! I am stoked to say the least. Looks like I can finally have a cordless brad again!

Same here bro! Especially bad with my job where I shoot very frequently. I was originally going to go with a Remington but the model I looked at was not available in left had. I said screw it, I have been shooting with right hand stuff too long!
  9. I love mine. I run two, the framer and the finish. Absolutely love them. Not as much use as @Turner85 with mine but mine like his perform wonderfully.
  10. I've been trying to upload with my iPhone for over a month with no luck and have resorted to using tap a talk. I don't know if that'll fix it. I'm in Mass for an accident summit and will be back Friday so I'll try then!
  11. And here is one of them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks Ryan! My decals came in! Thanks for the note too!
  13. STILL waiting for the 20v bradder!
  14. You can make a jointing plane but I've seen some over 30" long made of iron
  15. Just like Comp said, the reason those larger planes are so long is so that you have more flat surface to register on. Being mindful that you would presumably have your stock firmly set in place AND you keep the plane flat on that workpiece! This is when you want to have a really solid bench to plane on. The bench would have clamps and dogs to keep that workpiece rock solid and then it's up to your body mechanics to keep that plane in check. I guess the best way to answer your question is practice practice practice! Naturally to me having a Jointer in my shop is an essential piece of equipment. That Jointer along with my little lunch box Dewalt planer, my table saw and bandsaw allow me to have a smooth running shop. I personally don't use a Jointer hand plane but rather a power planer but it was a needed tool for me and allows me to make rough stock square and even save some cash in the process!
