Ryobi green isn't the same as festool green Chris.

I know from experience that body shops can really dirty really quick. That is a great attitude to have.

Mine was a 32 piece craftsman wrench set and a 40 something piece screwdriver set. I still have them both.

They are edelbrock performer rpm heads. Bronze is actually a better wear surface than steel or whatever they use. I would assume it is heat treated or harder than normal. Regular bronze would be too soft.

The rotating assembly made it in Friday. We now have the block sent off to get bored out. The kit came with a new Scat crankshaft and rods, forged aluminum pistons, plasma moly rings, bearings, and came with a balancer and flex plate and is fully balanced. For $879 the kit is a great value for what it comes with. We should have a compression ratio of 10:1 with the pistons in the kit. I will try and get pictures of everything and upload them tomorrow.

When my dad went to Nashville auto diesel college the school supplied everyone's tools. Evryone in my program has to buy their own tools and the minimum price is $3100 if you but them through the school. The thing is we have even less tools that are required. Also the kits through the school came with a dinky service cart.

I have a two drawer middle section along with a five drawer top section, but I left them at home since I didn't want to move all of that around

It is working out great. The handle fits nice in your hand and hasn't faded or deformed. It still looks like new once I clean it. I haven't experienced any slipping of the teeth either. Overall it is a great ratchet. I have had mine for over two years now and it still works like the day I bought it. My partner in my engines class is really looking into getting one since he likes it so much.

I have had my box for almost three years now. I haven't had an issue or complaint with it yet. Those snap on boxes are ridiculously expensive Frankie. If I wind up needing a bigger box I would its likely get another craftsman or a harbor freight one.

So far I am the only person in my class who has a 3/8 impact and a straight and angle die grinder. The red cases in the drawer with the air tools have my 3/8 impact sockets in them. I have both a standard and metric set that are deep and shallow. I am also the only one that has 1/2 deep sockets too. I also bought one of the new pittsburgh pro 3/8 long flex ratchets as well but I didn't have it when I took the pictures.

I meant to say questions.

My lowes had the 18v brushless hammer drill and impact wrench/driver. They didn't have the 12v brushless tools yet.

Looks great! How long does it take to make one?

That was just for pants Chris. You can model both.

We were following a truck hauling a mobile home and one of the tires fell off of the trailer so we stopped and picked it up. It still had a lot of tread too.

We are going to the biggest and last car show of the year (around here at least) tomorrow. It is in Corning Arkansas which is 100 miles from my hometown. We will probably be with a group of around 50 or so cars from around here. The show cars here aren't trailer queens that is for sure. There were about 150 cars in total there last year and it was in the 40s last year. This year it is supposed to be around 80 so the weather should be great. I will try and take some pictures too.

I have the 6511 I believe and it looks identical other than the cord and variable speed dial. Odds are the front parts will interchange. My owners manual listed all of the different model numbers but I don't remember them right off hand though.

Hey Conductor I was going to PM you a question but it said you couldn't receive any messages

Thanks guys! I forgot to take any pictures. Conductor, the pictures will have to wait until next weekend, I will have to leave for college today.

We finally took the truck to its first show. The truck drove great but the suspension has no give at all on it so it rode rough. It didn't have a heating issue at all. We won second place at the show but they didn't have any classes at this show so 20 got a first, second and third place trophy for a total of 60 trophies. The engine hasn't gone through a drop of oil and runs great oil pressure so the engine appears to be a good one. It will also get the truck up to speed in no time. It will also break the rear tires loose in first gear with anything more than half throttle. So far I haven't gone much beyond that since the truck doesn't have power steering or power brakes.

I will second that Conductor. The snap-on boxes are nice but to me I would never pay the $2300 I would pay for them, let alone the $4500 for full price.

I do have the ez red light. It works good so far. I have a streamlight too. I was mainly wanting a light to light up the whole engine bay mainly. The stubby 2 led light that woodstockva reviewed looks like the best option so far.

Honestly making your workbench is the best route to go in my opinion, that way you can make it to your needs. Ours is made out of fairly thick round tubing for the legs and shelves and some diamond plate steel with 2by underneath it to eleminate flexing. We have had around 700 pounds on ours and it hasn't flinched.
Tool Predictions - 2015

I think you are spot on about the dewalt 20v line. I think they will have a ton of new releases. I also think that makita will bring out a lot of new brushless tools. I think all of the major tool brands will have 6.0 ah batteries by the end of the year. I also see the impact drivers and drills getting smaller or more powerful depending on the model. I also think we will see corded brushless tools.
