  1. I have no reason to discredit those peoples reviews but just keep in mind people typically do not go through the trouble of reviewing things unless they've had a problem with them. This is a compact hammer drill and if drilling in concrete is going to be one of your primary applications I would step up to the premium hammer drill. This drill is great for many applications and also has the hammer function available to you when you need it. It does have a standard Jacobs chuck, which is a proven chuck and well built, but it is not as heavy duty as the ones on the premium drills required for lots of concrete drilling. So just keep that in mind. Am I promising the bit will never slip out when hammer drilling? No, there is a lot of vibration and it's a ratcheting chuck, and it may happen every once in a while. But if saving money, having a lighter/smaller drill is more important to you then I think you would be very happy with this tool. As far as reviews, I would just go to youtube and type in the model number. Hope this helps!
  2. Same here, I do not have one, in fact I've been with the company for 5 years, I can't say that I've ever seen one before.
  3. what kind of deals, when exactly and where? I have not been able to find 20v bare tools in my local stores as of yet, I am looking forward to expanding my 20 v max set I love them so far , just wishing it was easier to get bare tools, We wish more hardware stores would carry them. I apologize for you not being able to find them in HD or Lowes. Check out other local hardware stores and supply houses. Also, Amazon and other online retailers.
  4. US version is DCD775KL http://dewalt.com/tools/cordless-drills-hammerdrills-dcd775kl.aspx It's a good tool.
  5. I have not heard anything about larger combo kits coming out anytime soon (that doesn't mean it won't happen). Keep in mind there are bare tools available for the 20v system. For example, you can buy the 1/2" impact kit (that comes with 2 batteries & a charger). Then you can purchase the other tools you need by themselves (without batteries and chargers) for any where between $100 - $140 dollars each. Look for free bare tool promo's and free battery promo's coming up in Q4.
  6. Part #397661-02 http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?productNumber=D28131
  7. OP looks to be in Europe. Things may be a little different over there, including model numbers and product lines. Either way Stony, I would get a second opinion and find out if they truly are discontinuing the NiCad/nimh. The other option is to buy the XRP Lithium. Dewalt 18v XRP has a huge market share in the states so they are continuing to support the XRP platform even though they came out with the 20v or XR tools. This may not be the case in Europe because the XRP line didn't have a ton of market share (could be wrong). I also think I remember hearing that NiCad/NiMh was nearly non exsistant in Europe due to environmental laws and that the majority of cordless tools are all Lithium Ion. Once again, this is all speculation. They don't communicate to us stuff that is going on elsewhere in the world as far as products go. I learned about 4.0 Amp Hour batteries being tested in Australia on the internet before I heard anything about it from the company for example.
  8. I work for Dewalt and have never seen this picture. But they don't tell us sales guys too much. You all know as much as I do. It looks legit though.
  9. Madtec! I can't believe you're not in here talking about this!
  10. Nice catch... probably should not have been in that picture! Sorry I cannot comment on what it is until the press release comes out. Keep in mind the announcement this week was for front half new products. There are more tools planned for release the second half of the year.
  11. Thanks for the review! Nice garage by the way!
  12. I would say that it looks more like the Porter Cable, which also came out before the Rigid. But I have never seen this either, so I am curious if it is actually coming out. Agreed
  13. As a rep for Dewalt, I feel like I need a truck like this!
  14. When I first saw a post by Mr. Yellow I thought it was a witty reference to the movie Resevior Dogs... Now I think that Mr. Yellow is his real name.
  15. If you read some threads on this forum about 12v max vs. Milwaukee M12, you would see that when Dewalt came out with their 12v max line, it crushed Milwaukee's (It did, I own a set of both and have run tests). Milwaukee knew this, and decided to come out with a new battery line ("Red" lithium) which basically makes M12 be able to compete with Dewalts 12v Max. Milwaukee is touting this "red lithium" technology as something new and innovative to the industry when it's not new technology, it's just a better cell than the one they originally came out with, one more compareable to what Dewalt is already using in it's 12v Max line. As DewaltDude put it:
  16. You're not using photoshop or something to bring out the yellow?
  17. Lowes only carries the compact lithium, not the XRP. Not sure what Depot carries...
  18. Thanks for going through the trouble of doing this, I'm glad to see the Dewalt bits won out!
  19. Dang, I thought I had a lot of drills!
  20. Unfortunately, having the charging feature also comes at a price, costs more to make. The radio is already over $150, would you pay $200+ to have more bass? I'm sure there are some that would pay it (me for example) but the more features you add the more expensive the product gets and the less the company sells. It's a balancing game all manufaturers have to play.
  21. Lol.... maybe TTI will scour this site and pickup on it and add it to their 12v Max line! They already have a 12v heated jacket... Don't see why they wouldn't stop there. 12v blender anyone?
  22. That sounds familiar, like when Makita tried to put a 3 speed transmission on their Hammer Drill...
  23. Bosch supposedly has a charger on their radio. I've heard from a Bosch Rep and saw on their website here: http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Tools/Pages/BoschProductDetail.aspx?pid=PB360D They must pay Dewalt to you the patent I'm assuming. Only other one that I know of though.
