  1. Have been using the radio on site this week I am well impressed. Those subwoofers are amazing. Even at low volume. And because of that I am impressed by the runtime on a 5.0Ah. Considering it has 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers. I get the same if not better runtime than my old DCR017. What I also like, and it's good that they brought this feature back, is when you are charging your battery and unplug the adapter the radio keeps playing. The DCR017, if you did that, the radio would turn off and you had to turn it on again. The model before that kept playing also when unplugging. It's a little thing, but I appreciate it. As for the side handle problem. I found a nice fix that, once mounted (not done yet), barely looks like a modification. I ordered the springloaded tabs that are found on the DeWALT ToughSystem organizer. You can buy them as spare parts. (keep in mind, there is a left and right version, so you have to get them both) If you want to mount them with the tabs facing down (hinge part facing up, like it is on the organizer) you'll have to cut some little bits from the side of the radio to make it fit. However, you can also mount them upside down with the tabs facing up. This way you don't have to cut anything and there is room to play with how much movement you want to have before it locks in place. The only tricky part is fixing them onto the radio. You can use screws, but I don't know if there is anything directly behind the sides of the radio and the radio isn't on the service website yet, so no drawings to inspect. I'm going to open it up, drill 2 small holes and use a little bolt and nut to fix them. This way I can make sure it won't damage any internal components and I prefer this over using a screw. Pics to follow sometime next week...(I need to wait for my organizer to come in, to use one of the tabs, because they messed up my order and received only 1 tab and a metal latch)
  2. I got the vac rack a couple of days ago. Also got me the large T-Stak case. The hose fits in there, but I find it a rather large combination when on top of the vac. As for the cable. The vac rack has a cable wrap on the front, but it's not ideal. I'm thinking of cutting the cord and attach a Neutrik Powercon inlet on the vac and a plug on the cable. So I can unplug it altogether and store it in the T-Stak. Similar to what I did with my mitersaw table (still not finished...) Also need to get the floor cleaning set and see how to store the tubes. Someone on here bought 2 and cut the tubes so they fit in the T-Stak. Might go the same route. You can make it a little longer as well, making it better for your back.
  3. I have mine hanging in my rack now as well. Removed a DS300 so I can store the radio and another DS150. Noticed the radio doesn't line up perfectly with the surrounding boxes. So I'm gonna drill 2 extra holes to fix that. Purely easthetic, nothing functional. Also, I don't give much for the nipples that slot in the top of the brackets. For now it holds up, but I'm gonna change that. After seeing the video from DeWALT for this radio it makes sense to not add side handles. They purely designed it for the cart and you can lock it in place with the steel bar that grabs into the backplate. They didn't think about us with van racking
  4. That's what my rep said. But just the radio itself is enough to have it bounce on its feet. Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  5. Both. It's the DWV9500 which you mount on the DWV902M/L and smaller ones so you can attach a T-Stak case (or cases) There are some pictures on page 3 in this topic...
  6. I like it so much I don't wanna take it out on the job and getting all dirty [emoji16] I have 5.0 in there but haven't tested the runtime yet. Monday I will take it to the job now that my DCR is gone
  7. What about a sleeve for the hose so you can stick an extensioncord in there too? Festool has it and I know you can buy similar sleeves. Problem might be that you still have the length of the cord from the tool dangling inbetween. Or get the DeWALT hoseclips to attach the cord. Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  8. Reception is so much better. I had my other radio next to it. Both on DAB+. The Toughsystem played fine while the DCR017 didn't pick up any signal. Even FM. Same station. Toughsystem playing fine, DCR all noisy. Everytime I turn it on it's a joy to listen to. Sold my DCR. Gonna miss the outlets. They always came in handy. Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  9. It's the DWV902M (European model) in the US it's DWV012. Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  10. Battery almost empty? Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  11. One word: awesome. I love it already, and I only received it today. It's gooooood
  12. I will mainly use it with my router and tracksaw I think. Where and when it requires so with the mitersaw. This topic is a review more or less. Can't really go wrong. I wish they would have designed a nice storage solution for the hose though. It's inside now, but you can't do that all the time. Might see if it fits in a small T-Stak so I can put it on top.
  13. I know. But you can only judge if you heard it. I expected it to be good after anyone raving about it, but it's better than I expected. So now to make room in the van. Luxury problems...haha. I bet yours is coming pretty soon then though ?
  14. The vac is in the house. Waiting for the vac rack to come in. I like this thing. Glad I finally got one. Was in desperate need of a yellow fix. I'm good till next month
  15. Received it today. Coincidentally with my DWV902M Holy shit. No word that has been said about this radio is lied. It's freaking amazing. I love it! Great reception, both FM and DAB+ (European model) Put it through it's paces and that bass is crazy (if you want it to be via eq) the thing literally moving on it's feet (full volume on radio and phone and playing some crazy techno) Best sounding radio out there. Milwaukee? Bosch? Mikiti? Fuggehaboutit. This is the one you want.
  16. Just got confirmation. My radio is shipped. Should be here tomorrow or wednesday at the latest. #turnitup
  17. Ricky, if you want I can sent one over to the US, but you're looking at the double the shippingcosts. From the dealer to me and from me to you. It's €36 incl. shipping to me. If you're interested let me know. Sent from Europe using Tapatalk.
  18. Even if I happen to not like it, I will keep it, because I like the looks of it It's the best looking vac out there.
  19. So, I finally took the plunge and ordered one. The DWV902M. I found a good deal yesterday on eBay, from a store in Germany that sells them for €432 while they retail here for €650. Didn't buy it right away, but I was using my router today on the job and got so fed up with the dust, that I went online and bought it. Just ordered the DWV9500 'vac rack' also.
  20. Oh yeah, they said a while ago didn't they? Shame though. No more D.O.G.
  21. Is blowing up the speakers covered by warranty [emoji12] Sent from the yellow planet using Tapatalk
  22. Good bass too? Man I so can't wait for it to be delivered. Sent from the yellow planet using Tapatalk
  23. Mine is delayed. Should be shipping from DeWALT here as of last thursday, but they don't get stock for a week or two. Got a visit from the rep today and he also didn't have his unit in yet. He did say that if you place the Toughsystem radio on top of the open tote Toughbox, it creates some extra oomph, because the subwoofers are near the bottom. For you bassjunkies
