  1. I would prefer to have one similar to this one in the photo (Felo Stubby Handle) but a bit longer (not stubby) and made of one piece of stainless steel with a bit holder in the middle exactly like this one, flush to the body which accepts E6.3 1/4" hex shank bits, of course with a rough surface not polished.
  2. This is a cheap made Far East product, I can see it from the plastic parts that it is a unbranded product, little things like that normally get lost between thousands of things we have these days in our life so I prefer to have anything like this as a part of a bit set so I know where exactly I am going to find it when needed.
  3. There are a few models from a few brands for you. Makita makes one 18V cordless drill driver which is quite small and short and is sold for a good price. Makita DDF083Z DeWALT has two models in 12V platforms, but they are good for very light drilling in wood only and driving screws, One is brushed and new one is brushless. They have also come up with a new model with interchangeable chucks also in 12V platform. Makita has one in 12V platform as well. Bosch has one with interchangeable chucks (also a chuck for SDS+ drill bits!) Metabo, Festool and Milwaukee also have one.
  4. One thing I can add here is to buy expensive and quality chrome plated hand tools from bands like Snap On, it is very rare to see the chrome plate is damaged on these brands. So basically you get what you pay for.
  5. Perfect explanation! Nothing to add.
  6. New Wiha ones are a bit risky, as they might be manufactured in Vietnam and not Germany anymore, It does not look like Felo makes their products outside Germany and some in US, so Felo is more trustable. I think we should not expect to see German made screwdrivers and screwdriver bits by 2025 at all as Germans see these as very basic products for German industry and it does not make the money they expect
  7. It is already available to preorder in UK for £400 but as a set with newly introduced batteries and has a special guard as well. DeWALT DCS438E2T-GB 18V XR Brushless 76mm Cut Off Saw 2x Compact Powerstack Battery Kit | DCS438E2TGB | TW Tool Superstore
  8. New one can fit a long systainer tool box.
  9. Cordless Kapex and some Cordless Vacs, but not cordless router and planer, yet!
  10. Currently the brand that attracts me a lot is CAS by Metabo and others, a lot of brands joined to CAS platform make their tools in Germany, Italy Spain and Switzerland. They all use the same battery as Metabo's. Mafell is one of them making their plunge saw and circular saws in Germany, Rothenberger is another brand among them making some cordless plumbing tools in Spain, Cembre and PressFit make their cordless tools in Italy, Spewe and Birchmeier and probably Lamello make their cordless tools in Switzerland, and most of the other brands within the platform make their cordless tools in Germany, with Steinel making them in Romania! So I would say CAS is a serious competitor to brands that make their tools mostly in Germany such as Festool, Fein, Rems and Liechtenstein based Hilti, as in CAS you will find more cordless tools compared to those mentioned above.
  11. Makita makes some of their tools in Japan (top quality), their cordless adhesive gun and some planers I have seen that were Japanese made and amazing quality, their produce some of their tools in UK which I should say are average quality (unfortunately), I have heard of some of their tools being manufactured in Romania but I have not seen any. And a lot of their tools are made in China.
  12. I should also add some of DeWALT tools were made in Germany, I remember some of their drills were made in Germany around 15 years ago, and their 1/2 (D26421) and 1/3 sheet sanders are also made in Germany and still are available rarely in some shops, and their are very quality made tools.
  13. If I am talking about today, I would say Made in US, Germany, Italy or Japan as First Class, then Czech Rep. DeWALT makes some of their cordless 20V and 60V miter saws in Italy (DCS361, DCS365, DCS777, DCS778) also their corded bandsaws (DW739, DW876). They make their 60V table saw in Taiwan also their 120V cordless miter saws in Taiwan. Most of their drills are made in Czech Rep. Some of their corded planers were made in England, and now I have seen some drills to be produced here in UK. I have not seen anything from DeWALT to be produced in Brazil, probably Brazil produces some parts only, or if they produce DeWALT tools in Brazil, it is for South American market only. Mexico produces a lot of tools for DeWALT and I am not happy with their quality control, I did buy their new cordless Jigsaw for my friend and it looked like they smashed it somewhere before packing it. It seems China alone produces 40-50% of DeWALT tools and components. When it comes to Festool, they do not make everything in Germany also, I am not talking about components/parts, but the tool itself. They have started to make some of their tools in Czech Rep. and their tool accessories are made in Italy, Austria (By Fisch) and Czech Rep. (By Wera). Probably some in Switzerland (Jigsaw blades are mostly produced by diablo)
  14. I could finally see their cordless CAS tools today, Is there any other brand making cordless fuel tanks?! This might be useful in US more than EU/UK.
  15. Any link of miter saw, photo or model number? I knew these three in their agenda as cordless, Is it a 54V (3x18V) tool?! Thanks
  16. I was doing a research online and I found out there are cordless marking tools using Makita batteries, I thought it would be nice to share it here in case someone needs a tool like this and is on Makita 18V battery platform.
  17. They just joined CAS (Cordless Alliance System), Totally 26 brands (Metabo, Rothenberger, Mafell, Edding, Trumpf and others), Lamello probably will produce a cordless Biscuit Joiner. CAS - The Cordless alliance for your brands (cordless-alliance-system.com)
  18. Any news from Festool about new cordless tools?! Cordless Planer and Router?
  19. Depends! Generally pros go for old stock/used planes and they would like to restore them how they want, as mostly they would be US-UK made, new ones are mostly made in China. I would sell them as they are.
  20. Well explained, Biggie! DeWALT 60V Flexvolt grinders (4.5" - 6" & 7") are good as cordless with 12.0Ah or 15.0Ah Flexvolt batteries, DeWALT recently announced a 7" Flexvolt Angle Grinder quite small for the blade size I would say. If you can afford these tools and batteries then go for cordless, if not definitely go for corded!
  21. Good explanation, Falanx. If you want to have a good set of screwdriver bits / security screwdriver bits you should make it yourself. Buy some DeWALT bit sets with Toughcase / Toughcase+ accessory cases and take one case and fill it up with plastic bit holders / racks from the other sets and buy the bits from Wiha, Wera, Apex, Felo, Athlet, PB Swiss or Wekador as none of them would have a full range for you.
  22. That is not a cordless 20V Max chemical sprayer, it is a manual one. DEWALT 4 Gal. Backpack Sprayer-190652 - The Home Depot
  23. And something similar to this photo at 11:52
