  1. Lets just say be a little patient Doo Dar, and your wishes will be granted.. There are a couple of changes to the saw for the European Market that are happening... I am not at liberty to say what (as yet) but it will be worth waiting for the it to come on sale in the UK/Europe... When I'm allowed, I will reveal all..
  2. Ha ha ha .. trust you to find this on the Net.... lol..
  3. I think the issues here could be where and how to fit it.. If it were in a chuck for example, then the lights would be 'rotating' and you could get a 'strobing effect' and possibly potential issues for 'epilepsy'...
  4. I've been lucky enough to work at the Carl-Ras show in Copenhagen for Dewalt.. Must have been about 6 years ago, but loved the way that everyone gets a big wheel barrow to 'load up' with tools at the entrance... Its definitely a Buying show for sure...
  5. I've asked the fact same Question to one of the UK product Guys.... The line I got was 'Final Samples arrive in the next week or so'.....
  6. Yes they do Locksmithmatt.. And in fact it was you.... So thats the reason I stole your photo's from the Stanley UK site... Welcome on here buddy..
  7. As Mr Yellow has said, that is my Van in the 'Tool Connect' video from Dewalt... As he correctly says, I am not featured putting Tools in the Van, but I am the Guy running down the stairs at the beginning, and pretty much stood around 'Doing nothing' as many buddies have had the Joy in e-mailing and face booking me for the past few weeks... I claim that my racking system has improved my efficiency that much, that I now have more free time on my hands..lol... You are correct that there is a New (to be launched) 'Open Tote' Tough Box on there Horizon.. Here's a a photo (taken from a 3rd party post from the Stanley Tools forum page in the UK) showing a photo of the Open Tote... It has a Metal 'Chrome' folding handle, and features the same locking side Handles for the trolley system, and Van racking concept (should you wish to follow down that road..)... If you Join the Stanley UK forum, there is a dedicated thread about 'Van Racking; which shows step by step photo's of How I did mine, and I have also added photo's borrowed from here showing the massively high spec build of Mr Yellow himself.. There are also images of those others who have done their own versions too... Here's the photo of the tote... And while were at it, the clear top organiser as well...
  8. I know what you mean about the size.. I'm looking to import the Rack-a-Tiers Combo Belt into the UK.. Looks to have a good sized belt, and the rear of the belt is designed with air-flow in mind (prevent a sweaty back) and comfort too.. Will be in my return luggage when I'm next Stateside.....
  9. I've got a feeling my table is gonna get some re-working soon... Nice Job there Mr Yellow... Here's another version for you......
  10. I checked today, and they are 76mm Dia.. Seems a bit big, but they are perfect for the coffee cup side of things... In all honesty, the hole are a little big, but they seem to work OK when there is a screwdriver bit, or drill bit in the Drills.. Personally I would go 50mm for the drills if I made another one... Thing is, do you drill for one or two coffee cups...lol...
  11. Tis true that the Li-ion Cordless Vacs don't come with Air-lock adaptors, but unlike previous versions of Vacs, the Pipe is not glued to the end attachment, so you can unscrew it, and in turn screw on an Airlock adaptor.. I have done this for testing the New Sander, and even whilst testing the XR Mitre Saw.. I must say that its a bit of a nuisance to keep switching the Vac On and then Off, but it does work well on both of the above products... The only downside to 'retro' fitting an Air-lock adaptor is that the on board tools suffer in direct connection with the Airlock main 'barrel', so you have to use the tapered 'rubberised' adaptor to act as the 'go between'...
  12. You are on the ball Mr Yellow.... I might be biased, but I quite like the 'Cover Photo' in the App...
  13. The App for the Bluetooth batteries has now gone live on the App Store too...
  14. I agree with Mr Yellow on the Jigsaw.. Seems the next stage of Evolution to make it Brushless and with LED's on it.. Not sure of the 'pulsing' led's like the Festool are necessary, and not sure if they've withdrawn it for 'health issues' (epilepsy etc).. I think it would also be good to put them on the Plunge saw.. Would make seeing the Pencil Marks easier, and also why not.. No-one else has it, so be the first for a change... I think that it could also be said of any future Circ saws.. Would make using in Dim light safer too... I am privvy to some LED testing on some up and coming 'revisions' on tools (can't say anything as yet) but, just when you think there can't be any improvements, the simplest of ideas blow your mind...
  15. Yes Dude.... Good spot. That is indeed my Van... Was asked to be Involved with the Video shoot on this. That's me at the beginning of the shoot coming down the stairs..
  16. Right a little update (as promised) regarding the T-stak boxes and the 16g Nailer... Check out the photos below, and although I stated (on first look) that it won't fit, I must admit I'll have to make a U-turn and admit it does.. Good news for some on here.. It does fit, however not 'comfortably'.. It seems to only fit in the position shown, and it 'distorts' the T-stak box a little, but it will still shut.. I think 'long term' you will see a little 'rubbing' or 'distortion' of the rubber oversold on the motor housing (head of the nailer) as it sits tight up against the hinge and the 'webs' of the lid of the box... Initially it doesn't look like it will fit... Laying flat, the nailer is too long for the box.. At an angle with the 'plunger' forced in tight, it fits in the base of the T-stak Slight distortion on the front of the Box by the clasp.. It does fit, complete with 2 boxes of nails 32mm and 38mm (1 1/4", 1 1/2") and a charger. Hope some of you find this useful.. Have a good weekend Guys...
  17. Unfortunately not.. They are pretty cosy in a DS300.. Not even 1 alone will fit a DS150...
  18. In a word... No... I'll get a photo for you tomorrow...
  19. You can get the First fix and the XR 16G second fix in a DS300 Tough System Box... First and Second Fix side by side... Like Dano says... 2.0a/h batteries rock on this unit..
  20. Hi Guys... Wondering if anyone in the Houston area can help please... I am looking to order a Rack-a-tiers Combo tool pouch, along with the Suspenders from someone in Houston.. Preferably I would like to order from the UK online, and get it sent to a buddy's hotel room in the city so that he can bring it back to the UK for me.. Any guys with local knowledge have any names of who can possibly supply it for me.. Have e-mailed the 'local' sales rep, but he says he only deals with North Texas, and I have sent a mail to Rack-a-tiers direct, but they haven't responded as yet... Thanks in advance....
  21. Thanks NaluRash... Always nice to hear appreciation form other trades guys.. When I first built the racking, I thought I might get some stick from people... However, to the contrary, it's been quite an eye opener as to how many people have asked and/or e-mailed for advice on how it was done.. Cheers Dano.. Thanks for the compliment.. Not spoken for a while.. Must give you a call.. Yes Nordraw... When I first built the idea of racking, I did so with the basic plywood butted together, glued and screwed.. When Dewalt saw the Racking idea in the flesh, they asked if I could take the Van to a End user show, to encourage guys to see what could be done with Tough System.. Knowing it was going to come under scrutiny from the trade, I decided to re-do the plywork and make the shelves out of Good Quality Birch ply, and dovetail them.. It also led to me using Industrial grade Vinyl flooring in the Van too.. Colour was just a little 'homage' to the brand of course.. Yes they are... The fact is that I was actually trying to do 'thru' dovetails, but my Jig I have only allows dovetails of a certain length to be cut, hence they ended up 'stopped' or 'blind'... Real critics would point out that actually the Dovetails run the wrong way (for strength purposes), and that would be true.. However, this was a conscious decision to do so, so that I could keep them on show, rather than covered by the ply end panel used to hang the Dewalt trestles on...
  22. Here's a link.. http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/3296-tough-box-racking-in-my-van/?hl=%2Bdewalt+%2Bracking and here's another for ideas on the Van racking... http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/2762-my-tools-toughsystem-racking/page-2?hl=%20dewalt%20%20racking If you need any other ideas, I've got a few more shots of other Vans that have done in the UK too...
  23. I'm with Mr Yellow on this... Armed with the 'end user' information they now have from the First fix nail gun, then I'm sure they would have considered wether it was necessary or not..
  24. They are for illuminating the 'Nose piece'... Great touch if you are using it in a cupboard or somewhere in low light...
