    M18 fuel woes

well I bought a new m18 gen 1 replacement a while back and its doing fine. The refurbished buy I will classify as live and learn and pass it off as I will never try that again. I will send in the broken drill as its still under warreanty. Like I said the sawzall is outstanding. The impacts are maybe a half step below makita. But its the chucks on the milwaukee drills as it just eems not to run as true as the newer makitas and its eeems harder to get the bits locked in there just right. I may just go both milwaukee and makita and pick what I like best, that 7 1/4 milwaukee sawsure looks good but I always liked the makita cordless biscuit joiner. Who has the better cordless power planer. Almost forgot I do loike m18 fuel grinder very much as well. And yes I am criritical but not abusive on tools.
  3. actually they are better than some others My m18's charge when its bitter cold but many of my coworkers dewalt xr's will not charge in the cold

    M18 fuel woes

Right, I expect too much: got less than year out of my gen 1 fuel m18 hammer drill and less than 6 months out of the impact although I bought it refurbished. Seems like they made some improvements to the gen 2 drill besides more power.

    M18 fuel woes

I bought into the fuel line after some bad makita battery years. So here goes, I find the Milwaukee m18 no better than anything else except the sawzall which is awesome. I have killed 1 m18 fuel hammer drill and impact driver. I also find the compact drill brushed to be gutless, and the fuel m18 hammer drill has a chuck wobble. Anybody have anytime on the new makita top of the line 18 volt. Power is not my main concern as all these drills seem to have enough balls. I am looking for reliability, toughness and NO CHUCK WHOBBLE !

    M18 radio issue

Problem solved. I returned the m18 radio and bought a regular portable radio from the electronics store. Syncs like a charm. I wonder if milwaukee's new super Bluetooth tools will have trouble syncing and go all wacky.

    M18 radio issue

Turning off wifi would suck than I could not efficiently stream music as I would always have to be on cellular. Again the phone an htc one m8 bluetooth's fine with the car and my daughter 's Pill(even on wifi).
  8. I just bought it and like it but. My phone which bluetooths with my car and pill just fine is choppy and crap with the m18 radio. So back it goes. Anyone have this issue ? Thx
  9. please make a m18 fuel biscuit joiner must be at least as good as the makita
  10. Second paragraph is a run on sentence smarty pants.
  11. It's not just I hate smart tools and smart phones blah blah. I just would rather Milwaukee invest its money in actual tools and improving them. There are lots of holes in their wood tool line up. And plenty of room for improvement. Hey I love my m18 fuel sawzall but let's see some new miter saws, routers, how about a real good jigsaw that's as good as the top of the line Bosch and make it cordless etc... Come on programming torque settings on an impact with your phone what a bunch of bs.
  12. Bought the 18 gauge and 15 gauge da nailer yesterday. Put them to work today broken before the day was up. The culprit is the ridiculous thin brittle and flimsy thumb wheel used to set the depth adjustment. Just too thin too brittle and fell apart and stopped working. Utterly crap design. Big fail and I am disappointed. I already returned them for a full refund. Nice idea on the safety and the point but leu down on the execution and details and build quality.
  13. Milwaukee engineer .Well now that you mention it .Time to update your 12" scms get capacity up to Makita and dewalt trim some weight improve the lights improve themicro adjust and make it just detente override and make the digital more accurate and put it on the bevel not the miter .Secondly it's Time to add some routers and complete the line how about something like the festol 1010 .Make a large blade track saw that works on festool track .I can name dozens of tools that would be better than the computer chip craps .Cheers
  14. Sounds like big brother. I thought near field only?
  15. Smart tools ?.. this is a forum ? Where people discuss things. I know I dished out a little too much sarcasm I just would rather Milwaukee invest more in the actual tools like making them better and making more tools .I find the fuel 18 volt pretty good with the zawzall being a real stand out. I think we spend too much time on our phones at work Already. I think this is just another thing that could break .
  16. you think the add campaign is for exxon come on how many of us are going to use this crap
  17. Just imagine getting to the job and none of your tools work just to find out a competitor hacked into your one key disabling all your tools or resstting all the settings.
  18. So the app will turn my impact Into a sawzall?
  19. Electronic torque setting on metabo. Spell check kills me sometimes .
  20. My point is if Milwaukee invested this kind of money and research into the actual tools and not this smartphone craps they could make some seriously good professional tools .But I guess gizmos for consumers at home depot is more profitable .The electronic forbid setting on the metabolism is actually a useful feature as one sets it on the tool not onyour phone. Hey maybe all you guys and just get in your self driving trucks and set up computer controlled tools .Lol
  21. It's not just that quality has dipped it's what the company's are choosing to invest their resources in, towards a more consumer based market.
  22. Just got done at a client's house .Set upin the basement .Ls0714 and plunge saw hooked up to festool vacuums .Built a shed and muiltiple shelves. Virtually no dust and dead on accuracy. Please makita these are the type of tools we need .Make a bigger plunge saw. Dump the new garbage miter saws .How about a 8.5" dual bevel of the quality of the older models .Do not be afraid of raising prices. New cordless is great but I want meat and potatoes like my 2040 planer and my ls1211's and other good stuff. By the way your current table saw is great except the current fence is not usable
  23. i would never use it. I am a craftsman not a computer nerd. This is total bullshit. I am considering selling all my fuel tools and going metabo. Anybody interested in some tools?
  24. I would rather some new woodworking tools like a 10" scms update the 12" how about some new routers maybe a track saw or a new table saw etc.... looks like just another way for the lizard boses to control the employess now they can program the tools BIG FAIL FROM MILWAUKEE
  25. chop cuts, essentally 5" x 5"
