  1. How many 20 volt chargers you got.
  2. So I have enough dewalt stuff to call a collection now. I have a rain check on a 20V circular saw as well. With that I will have spent just over 380$ on dewalt stuff.
  3. I like to clean my tools and try not to bang them up too much, and when it comes to power tools I try to never quickly release the trigger after using it because if you look through the vents you can see soothing spark at the back of the motor, and I feel like that's not good for them.
  4. It does sound tempting to be fancy. But if your actually working on in automotive trying not to strip bolts, Precision torque or Flank drive sockets is really what makes you cool. Because if you have those you are investing in quality hand tools, witch is a sign of a mechanic who knows were to spend his money.
  5. I got 2 play stations (ones), and an X-box 360 for 50$ at a garage sale that's what I use.
  6. I do not know why it posted the topic twice, Something went wrong.
  7. So 3 days ago a report was released from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU), they have developed a new battery made with Titanium Dioxide, this wont just revolutionize the cordless tool market, this will revolutionize every single object powered by a battery, feasible electric cars might come into existence from this. Why? well 2 reasons they have a 10,000 charge cycle life (lithium ion=500-750), and they recharge up to 70% in 2 minutes, and its beautiful the technology will be available for consumers within an estimated 2 years. Best of all this makes it so we can easily run all our tools off of 2 Batteries and 1 Charger. Here is a nice Video about it Here is a news article And here is the university's report
  8. Yea I was thinking of picking up the 12 piece set, and 2 or 3 of those fire and rescue blade for the dewalt 20v max reciprocating saw i'm going to buy.
  9. Yea I'm definitely getting the dewalt 20V max premium 3 speed hammerdril, I cant resist if for 60$.
  10. Yea I also saw 3 brand new M12 chargers one still in the box for 15$ each, I bought them and I don't even have anything in that battery line I'm just selling them on the classified adds for 40$ each.
  11. KMS tools is having a 3 day sale. They are located in BC and Alberta Here are some 18/20 Volt cordless deals: Milwaukee Makita Bosch Dewalt 12 Volt cordless deals Or just look at the whole flyer
  12. So I was at a pawn shop today and saw a Milwaukee 1/2" Super Hawg for 260$ I want it, but I want to know from maybe someone who owns one before I go out and buy it.
  13. Update: You can get the kit with a tough case for 199.00$ at home depot.
  14. Its like a store that sells everything but food, there huge here in Canada. You should look em up if you want to get a feel for them.
  15. So its on amazon now. Bare tool 109.99$ With charger and 5 amp battery 249.99$
  16. They make some great stuff.
  17. Its a Mastercraft Maximum 320 piece socket set it retails for 600$ but it comes on sale for 180$. Its pretty nice my one complaint is that the sizes are laser etched and not engraved, it makes them easier to see but I feel like they will rub off eventually, and I will have to go in to get new ones, but with lifetime warranty it makes it easy.
  18. That is because I spent a bit of time on the drawers where every thing is all together because they get messed when I open and close the drawers because I need to get drawer liners. And you didn't see the bottom drawer, we don't talk about the bottom drawer.
  19. I have to say one of my favorites is the dewalt drill and driver kit. If it were not for that I would have never found TIA, that thing showed me that cordless tools are no longer under powered with big heavy batteries that clonk out after a year. It was also brand new on the classified adds and I picked it up for 100$.
  20. So being a summer student Heavy Duty Mechanic, here are my tools. Sorry that my sockets are so Shiny they haven't been used much.
  21. One has up to 80 foot pounds of torque one can have over 3000 foot pounds of torque. Its due to the fact that the air ratchet is just a air motor usually, this causes there well known kickback, and limits there torque, some very high quality air ratchets have the same style of device as the an air impact but much smaller. An air impact has an air motor attached to a spinning hammer that comes up against a mating surface witch is connected to the tool head, and when tool comes up against resistance the hammer separates makes half a rotation to build up energy and then hits the mating surface and then repeats that cycle, the cycle produces very little kick back witch is why they are favored when high amounts of torque are needed. Here is a video In the case of guys who are not mechanics are concerned: Its the same difference between a drill and an impact driver, except the power is supplied by a vanned rotor.
  22. I tend to hate air ratchets. When tightening a bolt here is how it works. It pulls on your hand like a leash on a small Chiwawa Then within a fraction of a second the Chiwawa turns into a Great Dane with rabies chasing a rabbit and takes your arm and twists it against the nearest object shattering every bone in your hand.
