I have one of the new Mac and Snap on catalogs in my bedroom, that's the only way I can manage to find out about their tools.

I actually loved the job (except upper management) made the best of it and invested in some tools to help with mufflers, I would work at another heavy duty shop in a heart beat, and will probably pursue it as a career. But yes the reason mechanics need huge tool chest is because there is always a tool that shortens the time to do a job, or makes it so that there is less grunt work.

Last summer I got my first job (i'm 16) pulling wrenches for a school bus fleet that has 600 units, one of the worst jobs was replacing mufflers, I had to shimmy under the bus (I didn't own a creeper at the time Big Mistake) and then fight with the bolts to get them off and then beat the living crap out of it with a hammer to slide it off the turbo pipe and then beat it the other way off the exhaust the whole time laying on my back sporting 45 pounds (a third of my weight) of muffler on my knee caps, getting covered in carbon deposits and then having to hold the new one for 15 minutes trying to shimmy it it the pipes and then finger-painting muffler cement on the ends and clamping them on, one day I had to do 2 in a row. I came out so dirty you could grease an axle with my face.

Well that's the snap on chest. I couldn't find out the % donated when you buy the mac chest. Oh and turns out you can also buy pink mac service carts too. I might talk to the mac tools guy who comes to the place I had my summer job last year, latter today.

I Didn't find it I came up with the idea and made a rendering. But I might make one in my garage with a plastic welder. If I can come across a cheap bare dewalt tool or power source and order a cheap made in china Milwaukee battery case online. But I don't know about the wiring I got the idea only last night so don't expect me to have one done by tomorrow. I made the picture with Microsoft Paint. Some other ideas I have: -2x20V max into 36 volt dewalt adapter -20V max into makita adapter

So picked this up on sale at Canadian Tire for 145$ normal price is 300$ and even for below half price not worth it here are my problems with it: drawer bottoms are 3/16 pressboarddrawer slides are garbage and need to much force to pulldrawers are held together with bolts and twist under forcedrawers are about 14" wide and 14" deeppowder coat is already separated from the metal in multiple placespower bar has no off switchlight is small and not that brightoverhead storage cabinets are about 5 inches deep and slam shut by themselvestakes 6 hours to assemble with a socket, screwdriver, and wrench (would have taken 12 if you would have used only a adjustable wrench and screwdriver like they recommend)I am planing on returning it and if that wont fly with costumer service, i'm selling it for what I paid for on the classified adds. Because even if its half price it isn't worth it. -
Yea too bad companies can lie about there products they sell in north america. But on the topic of brand interchanging ability I want to buy some Milwaukee tools but don't want to have to start using 2 different batteries so I got the idea for this little device. Here is a concept photo:

Yea the whole 20 volt thing is annoying but if you refer to both Dewalt lines as 18 volt then it becomes a cloud of confusion.

So I was wondering because the Stanley Black and Decker company owns: -Dewalt -Black and Decker -Porter Cable -Mac tools And all these brands have a 20 volt max lithium ion cordless line does that mean that they are interchangeable. I'm just wondering if you could say: -Go buy a Black and Decker 20 volt cordless hedge trimmer and run it on Dewalt batteries. -Charge up a porter cable battery pack with a Dewalt charger Because I know that mac tools runs their new cordless line on the Dewalt 20 volt batteries as an option but can it go beyond that.
