Well at this moment the only very decent cordless reciprocating saw is the Milwaukee's Fuel in my opinion. Nothing has been leaked yet on a Dewalt Brushless recip. Makita's Brushless recipro prototype has been shown to select people in this year World of Concrete so i personally can't wait for it to to be released. The strongest ( and longest runtime ) cordless circ saw at this moment ( any many comparison reviews online prove this ) is the XSH01 Dual 18V Makita Circular saw. Slightly below but still very very strong with amazing runtime would be the Brushless Milwaukee Fuel circ saw and the new Makita Brushless XSH03 circ saw. Dewalt does not offer a similar cordless circular saw yet. My 2 cents: Makita or Fuel.

And what Dwain says is true. Always get the 3 speed impacts. The single speed BL model is actually a cost down model with a less durable hammer/ anvil system. It is ' open' on the inside so crap can get in. If 40 $ gets you the 3 speed type and thus one of the best impacts around. Go for it. You will have 2 top of the line tools which will both serve you for a long time in every situation you can think of.

And normal 4 stroke positive points apply: low on gas usage, low on decibels, low on emissions, no mixing gas/oil, more durable. On the negative side: a wee bit heavier then most 2 strokes

I dont have one myself but ive sold tons of those and demoed them to customers many times. Its a superb machine. Powerful as any other 2 stroke handheld. EPA regulations of the latest years has made 2 strokes engines heavier and with less horse power compared to 10 years ago. 4 stroke technology has improved a lot. Better cylinder, better compression. Compact spark plugs and housing for less weight etc... This is without a doubt the easiest starting handhald blower.just set it in 'run' position. Press the primer pump a few times and pull the cord. Automatic decompression means very little pulling power is needed. Choke only needed in winter when it is really cold. And the makita/rovin 4 stroke engine is also more durable then a 2 stroke ( any decent 4 stroke is really ) . It runs quieter and it has a designated lubrication system which uses straight 4 stroke oil instead of the gas/ oil mix in a 2 stroke.Makita/robin 4 stroke also have 3 pistons rings. What do you have to do yourself? I tell all my customers ( well the homeowners ) to once in a year come back to the store and buy a bottle of fresh 4 stroke oil costing a few bucks. Changing the oil takes 5 minutes of your time once a year. If you do that then that blower will run forever.

Still no batteries available in belgium ! I do call Makita up twice a week tot check if they have Come in yet !

Those battery problems are indeed a thing if the past. Only on the older 3.0 amp batteries. All 1.5 amp and higher batteries you buy now wont ever fail hou untill they are worned out. Why this Makita? Extreme power on the highest gear. Most of all common work/ drill sizes can be done in second gear where other drills have to switch down in gear to get the work done. Very bif hole saws/ mixing ? You get that 125 Newton's of max torque in first gear. Fastest charger on the market means more time the tool is running instead of waiting on batteries to charge. And you also buy in your way to the most extensive 18v line available. Every brand has their specialty tools. Makita has most you van hope for and still expanding rapidly with some VERY good releases in 2014 and more to come in 2015

In all honesty: they look ALOT better on picture then they do in real life. I personally find it a crap colour

Here in Europe you can get this from either Makita, Bosch, hitachi or dewalt in either 10 or 12 inch blade

Lovely i have the chainsaw in my store but dont want to mess up the bar/chain by trying it out customers really dont like getting a 'used' item even if i only personally Tried it out for a minute ^^
